true, and i dont think it wil ever be really big in the land down under, unless we increase our population and hold them hostage with trance music playing!

i would kind of prefer it didn't.. it IS getting popular though. Tydi's been aus' 'best dj' for 2 years running...

the annoying this is, the more popular it gets the worst the events get

yeah i know. i remember back in the mid to late 90's enchanted forest one of south australia's first out door festivals took of, it was just great - underground, people dedicated to the cores and now its a bloody shit fest people wacked out like idiots on different shit, and a lot more attitude these days in comparison to back then. the whole thing was cleaner, people, substance, etc etc now ahhhh but what do you do when you love the music.

And, i agree when things become mainstream it stuffs it, why? i guess alot of people just follow the crowd not really knowing the true nature of what exists.

yeah definitely man... the last few years have really been horrible (as it gets more and more popular).. in Melbs a lot of it is to do with GHB, and just people who should not be allowed out of the house but who ARE out, taking messed up drugs and just being agressive ****s...

if ppl are n00bs it's not that bad, but people who just go out to get fucked up...?

you know it's a bad state of affairs when festivals sell out before the lineup comes out...
it's just annoying having to deal with so much shit just to hear good music.

ANYWAY...

And, seriously, does he need all that $***? I can get the same results with Synth1, which is free and doesn't take up all that space.

BTW - that was sarcasm, in case it wasn't obvious

It does seem a bit odd for a guy to spend a huge amount of money on a modular synth wall like that and then just put out a bunch of rather ordinary sounding techno. But whatever, I guess. It's his money, right?

Nice. TL Audio Fat Track, TL Audio Ebony Channel Strip and Waves MaxBCL. I had the same idea at one point to use a bunch of outboard hardware as a mastering chain.

either thomas has an infatuation for analogue, or he thinks more equals better!

Posted by Specimen303 on Dec-03-2009 20:09:

So suddenly it's a bad thing to be after the fat analog sound? He's not one of my favourite producers, but I'm not going to judge him owning all that stuff. If that's the way he's comfortable working then good for him. Too bad that these days he doesn't really sound any different than those who are all software.

Every post you make adds more evidence to support the fact that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
