@ Pacha after EZ on Sunday. Oooh this is a toughy between him and Marcus Schossow. I think I would choose Marcus since I'll see Ferry at EZ and I've seen him so many times this summer. Only way I'd go to Pacha (esp with how packed it would be after EZ) would be to get a table.

I wonder if Made will be pissed because these Extreme Rush promoter people have announced this before Made officially has? And I wonder if it's true. Guess we'll have to wait for the official announcement to be sure. I checked the EZ twitter page and it doesn't say anything yet.

After the hot and steamy month of August we hope all of you are ready for a fall kick-off with some cool beats and memorable moments. We have prepared a two night event which will showcase some of our favorite artists and will take place in two different locations.

On September 5th, we bring to you a young Finnish artist who has been developing his sound as part of the Berlin-based label BPitch Control. Kiki's initial forays into making sounds with violins and pianos soon gave way to more popular sounds mixed together with mechanical hip-hop beats whilst playing at school discos before he was even a teenager. This diverse musical background has served to set Kiki apart in a class entirely his own. In the spring of 2009 Kiki released his second album Kaiku (which means echo in Finnish) Like a musical calling card it combines all of the elements that can be only be learned through a life dedicated to music and musical expression. The album contains his highly praised track Good Voodoo. Accompanying Kiki will be a New York-based artist who has been traveling excessively in the last couple of years, so we are happy to have caught him at the right time. You may remember the last time Adultnapper played for us-- the very first Boat Without A Captain bash. This time around, we're giving Francis an extra long set to honor his return. And to get this party started right we have our own dearly beloved Connie dishing up a delicious opening set.

Saturday, September 5th
reSOLUTE 027 presents

KIKI (BPitch Control)
ADULTNAPPER (Ransom Note)
CONNIE (Airdrop)

Time: 12midnight - 9am
Location: MUST RSVP

After the hot and steamy month of August we hope all of you are ready for a fall kick-off with some cool beats and memorable moments. We have prepared a two night event which will showcase some of our favorite artists and will take place in two different locations.

Moving on to Sunday, September 6th, we have decided to have a club version of the fun and take over all three floors of Bar 13. On the main floor we are incredibly excited to have a Dumb Unit Showcase with the label's head honcho Jeremy P. Caulfield and adventurous Italian producer Cesar vs Disorder. At a time when so much techno feels like endless variations on a played-out theme, its heartening to know that there are still a handful of artists, labels and DJs who can combine experience, skill and forward-looking ideals in style. Step forward, Dumb Unit-- we are ready! There are no absolutes, no results have been planned, and as of yet all tests have been inconclusive, so get prepared for a night of wonders. First floor will feature sets from John Selway and Tony Rohr Live. We have hosted Mr. Selway and Mr. Rohr separately at previous events but this time it occurred to us that putting them together would be a match made in heaven for our listening pleasure.

Sunday, September 6th
reSOLUTE 028 presents

Upstairs:
Dumb Unit Night
JEREMY P. CAULFIELD (Dumb Unit)
CESAR vs DISORDER (Dumb Unit)

Downstairs:
JOHN SELWAY (CSM Records)
TONY ROHR - Live (Clink)

I think we are leaning toward this as well.

Resolute know what is going on, Bar 13 is alright and I won't be ready to go home at 11pm.

Possibly finding out if they have enough money from tickets to pay the afterparty DJs?

I think if they actually announced who's playing, people might buy advanced tickets. Who the hell buys advanced tix for an event when you don't know what the music will be?

I'm sure there's a lot of people that would buy those tickets regardless.

Ill believe those afterpart lineups when I see it via Made. I think Made is relying on their name to promote the parties, and wont have any big names playing at them.

idk. Made usually goes all out when they do something. I'm sure the afterparties will be huge.

If I was throwing Electric Zoo, I'd probably hold off on announcing the afterparties as well. I wouldn't want people to buy tickets to the afterparties INSTEAD of the actual festival.

The afterparties are going to be well-attended regardless. I'm sure they are looking out for their interests in regards to getting people to Randall's Island. Smart business if you ask me.

yup...there are a lot of cheapos out there that will only want to see one, two big name djs and pay pacha prices to see them > festival price

i belive they actually do that for trance energy and sensation over in holland
they will just annouce the date and venue at first and start to sell early bird tickets, then later on they annouce the line-up
it is deff very weird, but some people just will go and buy them cause they are expecting a stellar lineup i guess

Posted by DPetey81 on Sep-01-2009 04:58:

Idk. Guess I'm just not used to it being done that way and I find it somewhat annoying being from out of town, a few days out,and not knowing where I'll be for the afterparties. I have no problem hitting up the festival and then just going with the flow afterwards, but I like to know the full details of what options are available. So until official word, guess I'm leaning towards Schossow on Sunday. A Ferry appearance would throw a wrench into things, though.

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Sep-01-2009 05:09:

hmm Ferry @ Pacha vs. Schossow/DJ Eco vs. Breakfast? hmm i dunno. it would be hard to choose. LOVE def scheduled this lineup well.

Also, if Ferry is indeed spinning at Pacha, i can only IMAGINE how crowded its going to be there that almost automatically deters me from considering it even...too bad they weren't able to find a larger venue, we all know how popular Ferry is here...

Posted by DPetey81 on Sep-01-2009 05:12:

Think I'd still probably lean towards Schossow 'cause I've never seen him, and I enjoy LOVE much more.
