Congrats to Kim Clijsters. She deserves it.

Serena, on the VMA awards, made a joke involving her foot faults. Does she think she's so opaque that people can't tell she's a nasty character?

Federer vs. Djokovic - penultimate point

Willams vs. Clijsters - penultimate point

what a contrast

why so much hate towards richard williams?

And what did venus do wrong?

he basically is the prototypical "sports child" parent who has to get involved with everything his child is doing in the sport. The only thing that terribly wrong with it is that it is very obnoxious. Try sitting in the stands one day at a little types sports game with all the fantatic parents sitting in the stands.

that i question also. out of the williams sisters, i find her way nicer than serena. i think the problem with her is that she has a imaginary association we tend to link with her sister serena and dad richard.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Sep-14-2009 21:15:

was the call legitimate?

yeah the call was legitimate. i just think serena blew up like that, because the umps have been calling foot faults on both venus and serena consistently, and that last foot fault was the straw that broke the camel's back.

What happened to the ball? I'd like to have it please.

I watched an interview with him where he was saying that once he realized how much female tennis players can make, he set his plan in motion. He wasn't even planning on having any more kids, but talked his wife into having 2 more specifically to make them into "programmed from birth" tennis players in hopes of getting rich. I mean, that's some diabolical shit if you ask me- having 2 more kids only because you want to make them rich to benefit yourself? Kudos to that guy for being a master planner though. That takes a lot of balls and methodical patience to achieve such a goal.

Oh, and I hate him because he always wants to play the victim. He said this a couple years ago:

quote:
Well, Im black and Im prejudiced, very prejudiced. People are prejudiced in tennis. I dont think Venus or Serena was ever accepted by tennis. They never will be. But if you get some little white no-good trasher in America like Tracy Austin or Chris Evert, who cannot hit the ball, they (the media) will claim this is great.

quite the contrary.... Venus and Serena have thrived, been accepted by tennis, and become rich and famous DESPITE their father's classless race baiting.

Posted by stren on Sep-14-2009 22:20:

I'm really happy for Clijsters , but Serena had one of the best threats of all time.

well yeah and I'd like to get some reese's. Some things aren't ever gonna happen

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Sep-14-2009 22:25:

now federer has to watch himself. del potro seems to have a slight edge on federer at the moment. we will see ....

Posted by stren on Sep-14-2009 22:33:

suddenly, a challenger appears !

btw, anyone got any good streams ?

Posted by noikeee on Sep-14-2009 22:34:

Come on Del Potro, let's go, fucking come on!!

Posted by WhooCares on Sep-14-2009 22:43:

what was that outburst federer just had right now?!!? i only caught a few moments of it...

ok nvm....just heard it again

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Sep-14-2009 22:43:

woah there..... i saw a slight sense of anger and arrogance from federer during the sitdown. federer must have thought this was going to be the standard 3 set shutdown before opening this match.

Posted by noikeee on Sep-14-2009 22:44:

"don't fucking tell me the rules"

fed thought del potro asked the tv replay too late

del potro was given the opportunity to challenge the call way after the point was over.

// edit

imo, chair ump should brush up on his rules book.
