Whats Digweed done recently?(I really dont know) and I honestly dont find his music danceable or anything.

Bobina just came out with a pretty decent album not too long ago(save for some cheesy tracks) and a really great remix album, and I can atleast dance to his music

This is a DJ poll you flog, not a production poll.

And what is so special when we talk about Bobina's "incredible" DJ SKILLS? Have you heard his sets? Because I have. NOTHING SPECIAL. Just a typical mix with generic tracks. So why >Digweed, I don't understand ;]
Maybe I should stop listen to EDM then?

Maybe

DJmag Top 100 DJ Awards 2010 at Ministry of Sound, London

if you want to see how rigged the dj mag results are, compare some of the djs scores on http://nextbigsound.com which adds up all your friends and traffic on social network sites. its a joke, compare roger shah to anyone. this is a true sign of how interested people are in these djs.

That site is wildly inaccurate considering not everyone is on a social network and not everyone lists every single artist they're a fan of.

Also it says that deadmau5 only has 325k fans, even though there are over a million on his Facebook page. Fail.

fyi, this thread is incorrectly titled. 2010 - not 2009.

good tool if I do say so myself. Although anytime a tool like this becomes important enough for people to use, cheaters will figure out how to manipulate the numbers.

Very interesting to see HUGE spikes in activity during the beginning of the DJ mag voting period then completely fall off after. DJ mag is all bullshit anyways. Sankey's won #1 club in DJ mag over Cocoon, Space, Guvernment, Greenvalley...and ironically Garuda has a resident night there and I heard their office in the same building.

It all smells shitty if you ask me.

Face it, you'll almost never agree on the position a DJ reaches - on any poll.

All these yearly polls are useful for is to get an idea of "trends" -- who stayed around the same spot, who rose a lot, who dropped like a brick. That's it.

Yes, and this is the final reason why Lady Gaga made it to the #1 spot

Face it, this djmag poll is only of some importance in the Trance & House community and reflects trends only in this almost closed community - nowhere else...

The only trend of the last 12 months in EDM was "no trend"

Posted by surfrgal on Oct-28-2010 20:51:

This is the first year that I have not looked at the results and have no intention of doing so. The poll is a laughing stock, not just on here but out in clubland. Everyone laughs about it.

The ONLY people who take it seriously are the DJs who are cheating their way into it, and the hackers who are writing the voting software programs for them.

Who says they use voting software at all?

Newspapers also take it serious enough to post an article and also daily news on television by the way, whether it deserves to be taken serious or not.

Armin doesn't think he's the best DJ I read today. According to him the best is still 50 years old Ben Liebrand as he has told before.

He also expects many Russian DJ's to be in the Top 100 within a few years.
