Im actually stand for what I think, and not afraid to go under another name like a coward. I state something that actually a lot of other producers\label owners think too. And yes, i know that there are politics in EDM scene, but that doesnt mean I cant post it. If you have a problem with, why not simply ignore it? Im not after sympathy, but opinions, thoughts, own experiences etc.

When you respond to my thread by calling me a "bipolar", "idiot", what the hell do you expect? A hug?

YOU proved how pathetic YOU are... I just replied in the same manner to show an example of how you communicate. I started off in a civil manner!

If you want samples of my track, search for everything under "FKN feat Jahala" or "Vascotia" on youtube.

or discogs.com me.

such as this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0vS48s5AL4

I fail to see how it differs at all from the rest of the stuff Armin plays on ASOT. There is not a jota of originallity in this track.
And since Armin play unoriginal tracks I wonder why he didn't play yours.

You dont have anything better than this....?

Oh great, you're pulling out all the forum argument clichés now, aren't you...

who started off calling someone an "idiot"? it was you. Idiots to me are people who dont respect other peoples opinions among others.

I didn't actually call you an idiot, it was a general "you" but I guess you were too busy to type "fuck" seventy times to figure that out.

Im sure we could discuss a lot of topics in this forum,, and we would see who was the real idiot in here..

I think we've already seen that. This hardly seems like a discussion to me.

Comparing Armin Van Buuren with DJ Lasgo is so stupid and immature. You just need to see it from a grown ups perspective.

vascotia, i understand your point and i see why u would be so upset at armin and his people. however, you gotta understand that success doesn't come easy. you must work hard and if it doesn't work the first time, work harder...

what i'm trying to say is that if you really want armin to play your tracks instead of publicly fighting/bashing him on the net and trying to make him look bad (which isn't working) you should focus all of that energy into something more productive...here's an idea, if you see that armin is obsessed with JOC from that list, then why don't you try to do a collab. track with JOC? maybe remix JOC? i mean you slowly build up...that's life buddy, in any industry.

you're making yourself look like an egotistical asshole when you start insulting the same people that MIGHT listen to your tracks, talk about customer service 101.

yeah,.. somone said "if you cant beat em, join them"..im not like that. I make music I love, and as I said earlier, I dont care If Armin dont like my style.. and if he didnt play maybe 1-2 of my releases, I would not react, BUT:

- as for my personal experience, he havent touched one of my latest 4-5 releases, not even remixes of them (which are artists like Activa, Corderoy, Genix+++), whilst every track have been supported heavily by every other big jock out there.. its no longer a coincidence.. at least not if you add my 3 examples taken from other producers experience.

- The only time he have ever supported me is when my tracks are remixed by his favourite artists like (Aly & Fila etc, all respect to them though).. I said in my thread, didnt update it here im afraid, that I still think artists like JOC,++ is very talented, and deserve the support, whilst I think some other artists are mainly popular cause of Armin solely).

- My concern is not the name `Armin`, but the exposure an artist gets from being supported on ie asot.. its a great promo for an artist.

- I started listening to trance when it was more about DJing picking the tunes they liked, supported it. Now as you all know its politics of dancing, and business oriented, more motives of who you should support and not.

Lately ive seen a lot of (in my opinion) overrated artists getting huge solely cause of Armins support cause of the big influence he got on his fans. The fans eat all that shit raw. It feels like if you have ambitions to get a household name, you can forget about it if you arent in Armins VIP club.

This has made me frustrated ofcourse, cause it has not longer anything to do about good or bad music, but who you should support.

Anyways,I wish I never put that much expectation into my music, I should really give a fuck about this, but I cant let it go. So now being fed up I went and made a thread about, thinking I got nothing to loose.. If armada sees it (I know they have now), so what? I dont get Armins or Armadas support either way do I?

If i still wanted Armin to play my tracks, and I could suck up, and have a whole nother tactic, but that would make me a hypocrit and a sell out.. so I rather tell it to his face, than being fake and suck dicks.

Just go ahead and bash me for doing this, but I still stand for what I did..

My wish for the scene would be that DJs support tracks not artists, and artists make music they love.

Now its opposite... Djs supporting what they should support, this is leading to more and more artists trying to be the new JOC, in other words copycats.. this shit is dictating how music should evolve, and simply telling every newcomer how you "should" produce to succeed.

I just feel its fucked up for artists that actually make good music, and have a personal style not to get the credits they actually deserve, cause in this case 1 big dj plays only the important artists music like a radio station..

Enough said.

that stupid fucking "why" song got hammered by armin for a solid half a year or something, esp. the aly & fila remix. you're butthurt for no apparent reason and i recommend you shut the fuck up

This is exactly the behaviour that makes me wanna puke. "shut the fuck up" bla bla.

AGAIN: the only reason why he played `why` was the fact that Aly & Fila remixed it. My original was never played by Armin!

point: you need to be in the asot-regulars to be armin playlisted!

i am like 98% sure you are wrong here but i don't feel like going through a whole bunch of old asot and armin liveset tracklistings to prove you wrong

Your statement actually just compliments the fact that thread starter has made, that Avb is biased when choosing which tracks to play... and his bias has more to do with politics than the actual track being good enough to play or not.

Dude just add 10 more supersaws, I think you will be good then.

Posted by supersaw abuse on Nov-07-2009 20:54:

all right, i'll turn off trolling mode for a second in an attempt to actually try to make a couple coherent points

1. op, i think you greatly overestimate the amount of power and influence that armin van buuren has over the world of electronic music. he's obviously the biggest name in trance right now, but there is a sea change occurring in electronic music from trance to house. armin will lose his relevance soon.

2. you seem personally butthurt about this. could it be that the reason he doesn't want to support your tracks is that he just plain doesn't like your style, but will listen to your tracks if they're by remixers he enjoys? you're so convinced that he's out to get you, but how do you know that he hasn't just found your recent work to be less than compelling?

It might be true that he doesnt like my style.. however 5 releases including big remixers, played by every other jock out there is not longer a coincidence. Either he didnt get my tracks, or he automatically exclude every track that either havent come with compliments from some big dude, or if the remixer\artists arent in his personal "guestlist".

adding all the other stuff ive heard from people in this business, aswell as going through the asot 2009 list, i have no doubt in my mind.

you keep saying this, but which tracks were they, and who were the "jocks" who played them, and when?

FKN feat Jahala - Why (Armin support Aly & Fila remix)
Aly & Fila vs FKN feat Jahala - How long (Armin support)
FKN feat Jahala - Still time (Armin support Aly & Fila remix only)

Then,
Correction..4 tracks..not 5. all releases are very rescent.

`FKN - Unreal to me` (including Activa, Corderoy & Bury, Jona Prado mixes):

Paul Van dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, DJ Shah, Mark Eteson, Kristina Sky, Mike Saint-Jules, Digital Nature, Dumonde, Dan Stone, Daniel Kandi, Leon Bolier, Flash Brothers, Robert Gitleman, Mike Shiver, Kris O'Neil, Big Al, Lee Haslam, David Forbes, Airbase, Suzy Solar, Andre Visior, Jochen Miller, Thomas Datt, Ian Betts, Matt Darey, Pedro del Mar, Ruben de Ronde, John O'Callaghan, Andy Moor, Menno de Jong, John Askew.

`FKN feat Jahala - This is the only time` \ `Genix & FKN - Talk things thru`:

Tiesto, Judge Jules (2x BBC radio 1 + iAM radio) Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dyk, Sean Tyas, Alex Morph, Jon O'Bir, MIKE, Pedro del mar, Andy moor, Ruben De Ronde, Ernesto & Bastian ++++++ havent seen the whole promopool yet..

FKN vs Sun Movement (Amex, St.Rush) feat Juliette Bertin - Starlight

(track included the etc. guitar sample and same melody as "Amex - back in the sun" (st rush remix), that was `tune of the week` on asot earlier. Track was same style as sun lounger. The release included Store n Forward mix.

Dispite this, Armin didnt touch any of the versions, not even the dub mix. Markus Schulz++ supported it (havent seen the promo pool of this though).

vascotia, you should send your tunes to Woody van Eyden. If you're lucky he'll dance around like this as they play:
