| Originally posted by vascotia First of all, If Armin had not been a sell-out and actually acted like a real DJ and played tracks cause he likes them, not cause people expect him to like them, I would have no problem with it. (like my examples tell you etc., also As i said earlier, I dont give a fuck if Armin played my original mix of a track, or a remix it has nothing to do with that at all). Im actually stand for what I think, and not afraid to go under another name like a coward. I state something that actually a lot of other producers\label owners think too. And yes, i know that there are politics in EDM scene, but that doesnt mean I cant post it. If you have a problem with, why not simply ignore it? Im not after sympathy, but opinions, thoughts, own experiences etc. When you respond to my thread by calling me a "bipolar", "idiot", what the hell do you expect? A hug? YOU proved how pathetic YOU are... I just replied in the same manner to show an example of how you communicate. I started off in a civil manner! If you want samples of my track, search for everything under "FKN feat Jahala" or "Vascotia" on youtube. or discogs.com me. |

who started off calling someone an "idiot"? it was you. Idiots to me are people who dont respect other peoples opinions among others. |

Im sure we could discuss a lot of topics in this forum,, and we would see who was the real idiot in here.. |

And some arguments have occured cause of this....... Quote "I have heard people in the business saying that Armin only plays music from the artists that he wants to support" Are you still wondering why he doesnt support Tiesto this year.........? I counted the unknown newcomers (around 29 in total from what I noticed - give or take) - each artist having ca. 1 plays in total during this year - thats 29 artists devided on 52 weeks (1 year) = 0,557 newcomers\unknown artists played each week on Asot..........! Lang & Yep Matt skyer Lisa Miskovsky Rst & Jared Knapp Reverse Jan Oostdyk Hodel & Avenger Ummet Ozcan Sudha Tiddey Treshold & Detune Faruk Sabanci Chephren Blake Ingsha Dmitry Bessonov Rene Ablaze Philip Alpha RENOISE Alpha9 Vengeance Velvetine Nv & Noy Artento Divini Shato Ehren Stowers Karanda Javah Solis Forenetix You can make what you want from this....I rest my case. |

vascotia, i understand your point and i see why u would be so upset at armin and his people. however, you gotta understand that success doesn't come easy. you must work hard and if it doesn't work the first time, work harder...
what i'm trying to say is that if you really want armin to play your tracks instead of publicly fighting/bashing him on the net and trying to make him look bad (which isn't working) you should focus all of that energy into something more productive...here's an idea, if you see that armin is obsessed with JOC from that list, then why don't you try to do a collab. track with JOC? maybe remix JOC? i mean you slowly build up...that's life buddy, in any industry.
you're making yourself look like an egotistical asshole when you start insulting the same people that MIGHT listen to your tracks, talk about customer service 101.

all right, i'll turn off trolling mode for a second in an attempt to actually try to make a couple coherent points
1. op, i think you greatly overestimate the amount of power and influence that armin van buuren has over the world of electronic music. he's obviously the biggest name in trance right now, but there is a sea change occurring in electronic music from trance to house. armin will lose his relevance soon.
2. you seem personally butthurt about this. could it be that the reason he doesn't want to support your tracks is that he just plain doesn't like your style, but will listen to your tracks if they're by remixers he enjoys? you're so convinced that he's out to get you, but how do you know that he hasn't just found your recent work to be less than compelling?

| Originally posted by vascotia It might be true that he doesnt like my style.. however 5 releases including big remixers, played by every other jock out there is not longer a coincidence. Either he didnt get my tracks, or he automatically exclude every track that either havent come with compliments from some big dude, or if the remixer\artists arent in the "guestlist". |
This is fucking hilarious.

Haven't seen such an epic failure around these parts since Existo22 joined.

| Originally posted by supersaw abuse you keep saying this, but which tracks were they, and who were the "jocks" who played them, and when? |

vascotia, you should send your tunes to Woody van Eyden. If you're lucky he'll dance around like this as they play:
