For the LOVE OF GOD. ONCE AGAIN KYLE HAS MISSED TIESTO.

I was going alone but then at the last minute a lady friend of mine decided to come along. I had a ticket but she didnt. Turns out there were over 100 people outside the freaking commadore looking for tickets. I made the decision that i wasnt going to ditch Shannon so i went to the line and yelled "1 ticket to the highest bidder". I got 70 bux fo rit which was nice. I hade a great time that night as we took that cash and went club hopping all round vancouver.

We were at the commadore at 1:30 handing out Slinky flyers, maybe you saw me. Sid from SL entertainment was also flyering with me and Shannon. Maybe you saw us.

I figure he tiesto will be back.....he always is.

That sux in a way but like you said i'm sure he'll be back sometime next year I grabbed a Slinky flyer but I don't remember what you look like

I had an amazing night. That was my first time seeing any DJ spin live and Tiesto did not disapoint me at all! The people there were great. When ever you bumped someone or knocked them when you were dancing, you'd just say sorry and it was all good. Just an amazing atomosphere to be in. I should have met everyone at the ATM machine there but i'm very shy.

As for his set/night I thought it was very good. Sure we've heard all the tracks before but they're much better live. Plus I knew what tracks what the tracks were and I was able to say to my buddies that this next track is awesome and suff like that. I also thought Tiesto did a great job interacting with the crowd. He is sure one hell of a performer. I was rather disappointed to hear Southern Sun at the end. There just isn't as much emotion in that track as to when I first heard it back in Febuary. I was also suprised he didn't come back out at the end when he just cut out Southern Sun but hey, it's all good. Kevin Shui spun a very good set as well. I'd love to hear some of the tracks he played again but that probably won't happen

tiesto's set was wicked, great vibe, met a bunch more TA's...

i wonder why he didn't come back tho, last time he came back like 3 times i think. maybe the manager wanted to close it down not so late or somethin. oh well, hopefully next time he's here we'll have the new liquor/bar laws etc. and we can demand a 6 hour set! heheh

That was one damn wicked set! Tiesto was amazing! What a great night!

I've got some photos from the TA meet up and of Tiesto spinning, but unfortunately some of them got whited out by the F*CKING flash on the stupid disposable camera. I'll post them in a little bit even tho they're not the best.

BTW, anyone know if we can get the set from last night on the web?

now that ive had some time to rest and get shit done, my semi review of the night. well, just some positives and negatives

positives!
-before the show: that virgin had the hellsing special edition box set for really cheap + 25% off!
-amazing set from tiesto
-the fact that i wasnt too drunk or fucked up, so i actually remembered the amazing set from tiesto
-rad people to hang out with all night *waves to insomneac*
-the vibe, very nice people everywhere that i somehow would run into
-the fact that basically everyone at the ta meetup recognized me somehow based on my half picture.. hahaha. i didnt even need the embarassing sign after all! (tho i showed it anyways and people gave me odd looks as they were in line for the atm)
-the fact that our car didnt get broken into! (im sure you guys remember me being all sad because mine did last time i was up there)


negatives!
-before the show: after i got my hellsing box set the blood bag (hellsing is a vampire anime, the blood bag was what it sounds like, fake blood in a medical bag) was broken, i discovered, and got my hands/the inside of the box all red
-the fact that i got really fucking sick right when i got there.. so i coudlnt really drink, or do much of anything. i seriously felt like i was cracked out after i had taken a bunch of e or something, plus nausea... i wasnt motivated to dance or do much of anything because i just felt shitty. i still have no idea why i even got sick!! grrrr. i didnt stop being sick until i woke up the next morning really.
-ending with southern sun, the worst trance song ever heh.
-only one encore
-the fact that modrobes had the best goddamn coat (or long sleeve shirt, couldnt tell) ever hanging in the window and i couldnt buy it because it wasnt open!!!!!!! >_< so because im such a dumbass im driving up to vancouver AGAIN on sunday to buy it and go other clothes shopping ... what can i say, you guys have rad clothes up there.
