| Originally posted by EricB. agreed. Up in the air had more substance. With that being said this was a blockbuster hit and blockbuster hits arent about sending a new message, or creating a new concept that will philosophically mind fuck you. Blockbuster hits entertain, and thats exactly what this movie did for 2.5 hours. every moment, every inch of it was entertaining. Accept the movie for what it is, entertainment. and for the style of movie it was i will give it a 10/10, the ultimate blockbuster hit |

lol some people over analyze these kinds of movies wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tooo much!
Avatar's purpose is not to have an amazing story line jeez...
The movie is designed for the ultimate 3D virtual experience that takes you into a dream world.
Just put on the 3D glasses, zone out, shut the fuck up and enjoy the out of this world experience!
p.s. the soundtrack is also unbelievable!

good movie.
RT sums my feelings towards this movie accurately:
"It might be more impressive on a technical level than as a piece of storytelling, but Avatar reaffirms James Cameron's singular gift for imaginative, absorbing filmmaking."
