You bitch and whine about every little thing and defend your right to do so and then when people provide constructive feedback to an industry they love you come down on them with an abrasive and retaliatory tone.
One only assume you contradict yourself so much because you really have no understanding of what garbage comes out of your mouth or off your fingers.

i dont think u have quite figured out that im always quite direct and hard hitting... abrasive as you put it.
Again, quite a number of people are the same way towards me. And its great because i love a good heated debate!
In fact i get personally insulted quite a bit by certain people sometimes. But hey, whatever, thats the way it is when you post an opinion about anything including your opinions in this thread... right?
Or should everyone always agree with everything you say?

ironically as people get older they actually become more sensitive to loud noise even though their ability to actually make sense of it becomes dimmer. I guess everything just becomes white noise?
kind of a sad double whammy if u ask me

Good luck being able to hear the music (if anything) if you decide to do that weekly. Hence the entire earplug concept brough up as a kind courtesy request by some of us.
I dont' know about you but I'd rather go out with earplugs and enjoy myself than leave early or stay home alltogether.

i agree but should the club owners/management think for you? even if you forget them at home you wont go deaf after one night.
because, if you expect them to take care of that health care aspect/over the top customer babysitting, dont you think that would open up a pandora's box :
-strob light and lasers can cause seizures, take 'em down.
-stop selling booze, there may be drunk drivers after the party.
-airport like security, because people bring drugs in for personal use/profit.
-no shirt, no shoes, no service.
-free water and extra security for dehydrated/fucked up/thirsty but no money customers.
-face masks for customers who look sick.
and so on.
once you leave your door, you know very well what are you getting yourself into. and if you dont take good care of yourself, why should anybody else??
selling earplugs at the coatcheck, good idea. handing 'em out for free???? pft.

belgrade, capital of a "3rd world country" (mother******s), #1 party city in the world according to the lonely plant.
shittiest parties in clubs that cannot compare to any of clubs in toronto will set you back at least 60 $ canadian. beer 10-15$. glass of orange juice 7$.
i think we have it pretty fucking sweet in toronto.

As RJ noted, the purpose was supposed to give club owners constructive criticism and let them hear what the patrons have to say. In no way was it supposed to be a "Listen club owner, this is what you have to do to make me happy as a patron or what you are legally obligated to do." It was simply a suggestion thread. Then you come in on the defense trying to justify why the clubs don't do what we suggest and how we should basically be "better patrons" and accept things the way they are b/c clubs don't owe us anything b/c we could just go somewhere else.

even montreal can be pricey.. But yeah i would agree that montreal is up there. In my experienes Buenos Aires was tops on my list.
The attitude of the people (pure smiles) the energy and the music were all incredible!

so are my opinions as a patron invalid?
Because since i only work at a club 1 night a week and patronize 2 other nights each week i would say that they arent!
As a patron i think a lot of the expectations that people have are unreasonable.

Absolutely not. But I think the way you came about a lot of your posts made you come off as defending the club for not doing what we suggested (at least in regards to the ear plug nonsense). All RJ was trying to do (I think) was to give a voice to the patron to let the club owners hear what they had to say. If they decide to take our suggestions great, if it turns out it's more illogical for them not to, so be it.

Nah, it's probably because your hearing is damaged because no club ever gave you earplugs.
Seriously, my ears often ring after FW. More often than it is subjective to the patron, it's just dependent on the DJ.
I do agree you are thread shitting though and your replies to this thread would be infinitely better received/discussed if you took the tone down a notch. Also, no club owner is going to sift through all of this back and forth to find the few posts of worthy feedback at this point.

This argument is starting to run in circles.
Can we all just agree that SOMEWHERE in the club, they should sell cheap pairs of earplugs for those of us that forgot ours at home or couldn't go home to get them before arriving? ANY reasonable patron who uses earplugs should be willing to pay for the item, since, like, you know, the club has to pay for them first.
Unreasonable = FREE earplugs
Perfectly reasonable = Earplugs for sale
Anyone disagree? Take it up with Jay
