His comments about Flash are spot on.
The Virtual Machine is a fucking honking dump truck of pure, smelly, grade A SHIT. The Flex Framework that they are pushing for app development is horrible and filled with massive memory leaks (which are inherent anyways in Flash, even writing the simplest code).
For a graphics specific platform it sucks ass at handling huge numbers of objects (like screens with 2000+ objects being drawn, even if the objects are relatively simple). Its just a very poorly made system.
I have authority in saying too, I worked for 2 years solely on Flash development in the Flex framework, both in browser and in AIR (don't get me started on how "works in the browser, works on the desktop" is a complete load of BS).
I'd rather blow my brains out then work on that shit again (unless I was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, in which I would just quit after the first year).

But until 2012 comes we'll just have to watch people who have a lot of cash and just don't know any better waste their money on this crap. |

or just get the asus eee pc thats a tiny ass laptop with webcam, multi touch, rotating monitor, 100+gb of hard drive space and have a decent computer at 50$ less than an iPad

LOL
Cant see the point in it for day to day use over a laptop i ipone but this could potentially become an amazing controller for logic or ableton. A Lemur or Dexter like app would be nice
