Figure you can't beat it.

It was over $100 cheaper than last year.

Ok, there is one that is cheaper but non refundable, then the other that about $10 and doesn't say non-refundable... BUT THEN it says, no cancellation policy and no refund on any hotels.ca bookings...

WTF?! What is the difference between the two prices, same room?!

And what kind of room did you get?

I used the code and it's saying $285CAD

Looks like they are applying the same deal as the hotel is.

You can get a cheaper rate if you go the non-refundable route.

Posted by Mach X on Feb-05-2010 04:47:

That WAS on the hotels.ca site... with the coupon code it is cheaper and in Canadian, so going with that probably... just wondering how it's $353 for 3 nights and then $285 for me on 2 nights... if we're both using the code and we're both using hotels.ca...

Unless it's the room size. I tried 2 and 4 guest and it doesn't change the price (does on doubletree's site)...

Posted by PurpleHaze on Feb-05-2010 04:59:

just cancelled my old reservation and went through with hotels.ca...

with promo code and everything it came to $390 for 3 nights but w/e I'm not complaining since it's like $70 cheaper than thru their website!!

thanks cat for the promo code, yeyyyyyyyyyyyy

Posted by Mach X on Feb-05-2010 05:30:

Booked! Fuck it... for $285 for two nights two days etc...... it's plenty worth it. 4 people, it's about $70 a night...

We're all going to pay $30 all weekend in tunnel bus fares, and this way no border hassle. Plus if you need a disco nap... you don't have to do it in your car like I did last year

If you want to party later into the night, go on my son! if you wanna tap out, get some rest and hit up DEMF early the next day, head back to the hotel and grab some sleep...

Does the coupon only work if you do "non-refundable"? If so, I may have to stick with booking through the hotel, b/c I may have to cancel one night.

for the 119$/night refundable rate, do you have to pay right away?

No but you give them your credit card to hold the reservation and then you can cancel by 4pm on the first day of the reservation.

Posted by PurpleHaze on Feb-05-2010 16:01:

i think the $119/night is non-refundable and the $129/night is refundable?

either way, which ever one says "non-refundable" means you pay right away, credit card gets charged...if it's "refundable" rate that means it's held until the day of check-in and you don't pay until then!

The rates were:

$119 (refundable) for two guests
$129 (refundable) for three guests
$139 (refundable) for four guests

each rate was $10 cheaper if you choose the pre-paid option.

edit: This is if you book directly off the Doubletree website.

***these rooms seem pretty sick***

I got $119 refundable...but probably b/c there's only 2 of us. It probably adds an extra $10 for a 3rd person.

Posted by preppie chick on Feb-05-2010 19:03:

does anyone have a promotional code/coupon for refundable rooms?

Posted by catalinae on Feb-05-2010 19:06:

I probably wouldn't use it unless you can confirm that it's refundable. If you do find a promo code for refundable rooms let me know!

I searched yesterday and couldn't find anything. I found one on some website, but when I tried to enter it there was no discount applied.
