Congrats to the Preds for making 2nd round first time ever.

even if we lose tomorrow, these playoffs certainly have a lot of good stories to keep you interested even if your team gets bounced.

that being said i think we win game 6 but lose game 7.

i also have a feeling that chicago is going to pull through and vancouver will replace san jose in the western conference biggest chokers department.

Anybody who hasn't been following it already should check out the Sabres v Flyers game on Tuesday. The 2 teams have always hated each other and every game has been really physical. There was a fight within the first 30 seconds of game 6, and there was a really dirty hit on one of the Sabres by Richards in that game too, so game 7 should be pretty crazy.

who doesn't hate the flyers?

Posted by srussell0018 on Apr-25-2011 21:10:

Apparently the NHL. I haven't found a replay of it, but Richards hit on Connoly clearly looked like he was pushing his head down into the boards, yet still no suspension as of yet. Connoly has a history of head injuries too, and they announced that he "wasn't doing well" after leaving the game.

I want timmay to succeed. I like that guy.

I also kinda root for Nashville now, being the underdog.

Timmay? If you're talking about Connoly, I'm a huge Sabres fan, but I fucking hate Connoly. It was a dirty hit, but I think the Sabres are better off without him in the lineup imo. He's a great stick handler, but he doesn't create much, and seems to give the puck away in their own end quite often. He's pretty useless defensively.

If the Canucks lose, management should trade the whole team away; fire the whole coaching staff, then fire themselves. After they're done that, the owners should sell the team and move the f*** out of Canada.

TIMMAY! Tim Thomas!

What's this, the Sharks win a playoff series?

Good for them and Joe Thornton.

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on Apr-26-2011 20:31:

such an epic night ahead of us. so many good games on at the same time. I kinda hope we lose so i can shave.

Posted by Renzo on Apr-26-2011 20:34:

I don't see the Habs losing tonight. Bell Centre will be electric.

Plus, if they lose, there will be riots

Posted by srussell0018 on Apr-26-2011 20:35:

I also hope the Habs win

I hope Miller shuts the Flyers out at home again so Richards can cry to all the reporters about how "dirty" the Sabres play for the next few weeks.

I also hope the Habs win. I hate the Bruins almost as much as the Flyers.

In game 7s, I like to go with the best goalie, and you guys have Ryan Miller.

But who knows.

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on Apr-26-2011 20:54:

i'm watching the habs game for sure, but i'm actually a little more hyped to watch van vs chi because that will most likely be the best watch.

Luongo needs to be huge tonight.

Well he has 2 shutouts so far in this series, so I'd bet on him. Also Philly's goaltending is average at best, so if Buffalo can get a few early goals, I think they can hold on. That is, of course, if they don't give up 49 fucking shots and get completely dominated in the 2nd period yet again.

I'm guessing a 3-2 win for the Sabres.

i've always defended the guy against the people that were screaming that he is overrated. I'm being proved wrong right now, and if you look at when he has played his best hockey it is in no pressure situations with teams that have 0 fanbase. When its time to play his head plays games with him or something, because his fundamentals become sloppy.

When you are 6 4 if you square up to the puck and cover post to post the majority of pucks will hit you. When your fundamentals go out the window, being large can play against you because of a somewhat more limited mobility. Luongo is fast, but bigger guys are always a tad slower.

Chicago is exposing him as soon as he hits the ice before the shot. That is a sign of a goalie that is scared and guessing.

We lived the exact same situation with price last year. It all mental execution imo...

Luongo isn't allowed to wear the oversized equipment that made him impossible to score against anymore, that certainly is another good reason as to why he probably isn't as good as he is supposed to be.

Yeah, you're right.

Corey Schneider had enough of an impressive year to challenge him for his starting spot, too.
