he did! It was just a remix with a different structure, beat, synths, and vocals.

As terrible as the song is, it's one of the songs that turned me onto electronic music way back when. Even crap serves a purpose

+1

It was on the original Z1035 Summer Rush CD that came out back in 2003.

So price wise it's somewhat incomparable aside from who they book. Not to mention some of the issues like the dust they had last year.

Definitely interested to see who else they book though as either way you look at it the current list is far from complete for a 2 day all access event.
I did it last year with some friends and paid $800 for that weekend. But that also included a city that I had never been to before, so for me it was worth it. Plus partying during the days owns partying at night.

I heard Richie bailed.

Any truth to this?

Posted by devnull on Jul-14-2011 16:47:

that lineup so far is for 1 all-access night....they need to pull many more acts for a 2 nighter

Personally, Id only want a single ticket and go to the night I care about

Looks like it, he is no longer listed on the guvernment website.

Posted by hax-a-million on Jul-14-2011 18:33:

crazy if true... he is playing friday and sunday at EZ so maybe someone in the big apple made him an offer he just couldnt refuse for saturday night

i'll reserve judgement but obviously it's pretty wack to bail on a confirmed gig (which i assume had a deposit already made) except for an extremely good reason ie family emergency

Thats what I'm thinking. Clonk is pretty good with updating their calendar, so I was hesitant at first when it wasn't listed with them.

It would be interesting to know what exactly happened here. If Richie bailed, or if INK jumped the gun and confirmed him without the details being finalized. I'm skeptical minus/clonk would pull the plug on something that had been officially signed and confirmed.

Awww that blows. Hopefully they fill the gap in the second wave lineup announcement cause he was definitely a big piece of who's been confirmed so far.

either way it def does suck that he's not on the line-up no more
hopefully someone else can come threw...maybe carl cox, calderone, umek, loco dice etc etc they are all in nyc that weekend

i must be living under a rock but I dont recognize half of those names on that flyer.

Maybe I am just getting old or jaded - I kind of wanted to go this year but not a chance so far.

Posted by slingshot on Jul-15-2011 00:28:

maybe it's just politics.

who opens for who?

who has the compromising ego?

after all, compromising egos are a core characteristic of techno dj's right?

sadly it's true

Man this sucks, richie and dubfire were the only reasons why I bought my ticket for this event, I really hope they find a good replacement and have more names added to the list. It would be cool to see Gui Barato added to the line up, as he is at ezoo that same weekend

Posted by Babak_S on Jul-15-2011 14:00:

a longer set by manzone & strong or mark oliver.......I'm DOWN for that!

Posted by Babak_S on Jul-18-2011 13:57:

What is this wristband business? are they giving two? are we supposed to wear the same one for 2 days? and also, if theoretically someone doesnt come to saturday, but wants to buy tickets at the door on sunday, will it be the same price normally? or reduced price?

Posted by Endlesswave on Jul-18-2011 14:01:

If they do get Gui then I'm there. I was floored when I saw him at Love in Manhattan. Just totally rocked it.

my guess is they'll put up single day tickets in a week or two after they announce the rest of the headliners. probably starting at $50 or $60 per night like a normal all access, but could be up to $100 given that it's labour of love and considering the rising price of 2-day tickets

Posted by HotSoup on Jul-22-2011 02:44:

Ok so the chances of Carl Cox being there this year is?? He's gotta be there on Sept 4th right?

Labour of Love + Festival = Carl Cox

Fingers crossed...
