I JUST CANNOT GET OVER HOW ENLIGHTENING EVERY THING SHE DOES IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE. ONCE SHE IS 18 I WILL NEVER STOP ENDLESSLY SEXING HER WITH MY ACTIVE MIND AND THINKING ABOUT HOW MUCH JUSTICE IS BEING DONE.

This thread really isn't too bad... Could still be salvaged. Gotta get it back on track:
Did we ever figure out if caffeine is bad for you or if that's simply hippy nonsense?

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J I don't think the issue was necessarily with caffeine, more about whether energy drinks are particularly bad for your health. To which I would conclude: they don't meet the Jennypie health standard, but they're certainly not as toxic as some people seem to think. In terms of harmful substances to poison the body with, caffeine is pretty low down on my list of worries. I'm more concerned with becoming reliant on it (because it's not always available) and having to spend money on it every day as a result. |
I used to drink a can of monster or Red Bull in the early mornings when I had graveyard shift, but that was years ago. Stopped the energy drinks now. I never really liked coffee when I was younger, but now I tolerate it a little better with some hazelnut cream in it. I don't drink coffee everyday though, it's only saved on mornings when I've had a lack of sleep, or when I know I got things to get done in the day. I will drink about a 12 oz can of Pepsi or Dr. Pepper during the evening, or to chase it with vodka. The sodas are really the only thing caffeine wise that could be unhealthy to me. Even then I try not to do more than 16 oz's in one day.

SO true. And if you don't take regular coffee breaks at work, you are bound to crawl up someone's anus and get fired.

Red Bull is banned in France and in more countries i think (being France the more relevant) if it obeys to a true danger is what i don't know, alcohol and cigarettes are legal and are clearly unhealthy while government sell them , the fact that they refuse to sell an energy drink is certainly scary.
anyone get into the old dj caffeine hard dance sets?
IT'S TIME FOR CAFFEINE!!!
i don't know what amount they put in red bull, but i'd stay away from it. folk have died from it.
also there's much more caffeine in tea(!) than in a can of coke. just though i'd put that out there as it seem to be a common misconception that coke contains lots of caffeine. of course it is the sugar that is the bastard.
don't drink tea or coffee as it seems useless. and in coffee's case, tastes downright bad. one of these stupid human habits, especially when you mentally think you 'need' it to 'function', therefore just worsening the habit.
Cracked today and had a can of Coke, because it's Friday and I've gone a whole week without any. Only 30mg of caffeine, but I still felt like God afterwards.
Are you saying you don't always feel like God?
Sometimes I'll throw a bag of Earl Grey in my coffee. It's less for a boost and more to have something to sip on for a few hours while rotting at my desk.
