I just gave you guys an economic answer 15 pages ago.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Mar-19-2017 20:52:

Yes, and it's been roundly shredded since then. I'm all for greater wealth redistribution but it's not a magical solution to every issue, the way you clearly think it is.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-19-2017 21:11:

The words 'magical solution' were never used by me, so you see what's happening here.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Mar-19-2017 21:20:

The words weren't, but the reasoning certainly was. It's blatantly apparent that your political ideology runs to one issue, which you think can be applied to any discussion. You were visibly reading up on the fucking subject of emissions mid-thread! You're way out of your depth.

Just on Dutch tv, devices which make it possible for trucks to drive without ADBLUE are being used on large scale. An undercover operation to see how many companies sell these illegal devices got 100% result, all investigated companies sold the devices.
To be continued..

What are you talking about?! The left here in Brazil is adamant communism worked

Of course, the centre-left isn't so daft, but I have colleagues who quote Che Guevara in formal meetings and, granted, they tout socialist ideas and don't necessarily like the word "communism" because of the subtle differences, but still... it's quite surprising to see people extol the virtues of the Cuban regime in 2017.

That wasn't a "brag". It was an example of a consumer making selfish, myopic decisions. No i don't feel bad; i just don't deny that my actions combine with others' which harms the environment. i certainly don't deserve the free pass the commies are apparently handing out.

Being misled by you teachers and TV? Going to your shitty job so you can eat. Or are you proud? What's that word? Dignity?

What is the relevance of this bollocks?

Posted by Lews on Mar-19-2017 22:47:

Don't worry, PKC, it's not your fault, it's BP's!

I feel like I'm at the shallow end of the pool actually.

Honestly, Jack, I don't know why you're so butthurt and ready to jump in with the wall street crew. I only came in this thread to get some confirmation of what trance m was saying and argue that co2 pollution taxes should be proportional. If it wasn't for pkc and lews calling me a commie, and this and that, i would have been long gone by now.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-20-2017 01:03:

I lol'ed hard at the Ayn Rand comment. Am I the only person who really enjoyed that book? I mean not the rational self interest bullshit though.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-20-2017 01:37:

Fuk DAT hoe

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-20-2017 01:54:

The light of my idealism has burned a little less bright since reading that book, but I'm ok with that.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-20-2017 02:03:

You on that side over there, Jen?

If I ever managed to get through one of her stupid fucking books I might wanna run for president afterwards just as a reaction.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-20-2017 03:20:

No, I'm definitely more centre left.

Posted by planetaryplayer on Mar-20-2017 03:39:

My views cannot be described as left or right because I'm in higher dimensions

I don't know why I read all this shit.

not that it matters (and im sure after 911 everyone here is used to me taking exception to demonstrable bollocks) but don't force your adolescent, binary conceptualisations of the world on me, buddy.

things i quite like:

-mixed economies
-public infrastructure such as telecommunications, transportation, and energy
-progressive income taxes
-crazy fines and imprisonment for corporate malfeasance, including manipulation of scientific research
-prices on carbon
-minimum wages
-the welfare state

-playing DOTA. technically not part of the above, but the only reason this list isn't longer.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-20-2017 11:56:

Good, let's just move on.

Because your argument is steaming dogshit, and has been right through. You read one line of Trance-MB's post and it chimed with your pre-existing agenda so you immediately shoe-horned it and spent the rest of the thread retroactively trying to justify it when it was pointed out as completely irrelevant. And your snotty superiority throughout has been obnoxious. It's hard enough convincing people that environmentalism is a worthwhile cause. People like you are just poisoning the message.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-20-2017 14:00:

Just because my ideas aren't full of of compromises like yours it doesn't mean theres any less thought that goes into them. I think you're the one with a superiority complex. I wonder how you learn and think critically if you treat anything that doesn't align with your isms as steaming dog shit. You're a hypocrite.

Posted by Lews on Mar-20-2017 14:05:

You certainly have the most interesting way of showing that you've put thought into your ideas.

Posted by wotyzoid on Mar-20-2017 14:13:

Whatever, if you wanna talk about what's relevant to the thread, maybe talk about it, instead of asking me what my life philosophy for world betterment is and then accusing me of shoe-horning.

Posted by Lews on Mar-20-2017 15:01:

I didn't ask you about your life philosophy, I asked specifically what you do to improve the world. You go on and on about how all the problems in the world are due to a small cabal of greedy elites; one can't help but be curious about what it is that you do to improve the world.
