I'm also enjoying the resurgence of blantant sampling/bootlegging. Where once the industry clamped down hard to stop anyone profting from this, there is now no profit to be made full stop. So there seems to be more of a cavalier attitude to just quietly throwing stuff out there, since there's nothing for the original owners to claim back anyway. A few I've spotted:
Match Box - Gaboon
Angel D'lite - 1000 Flowers
Alex Kassian & Running Hot - The Love Theme
Paramida - Limbo In Heaven
Not going to spoil the fun and name the sources, but they're fairly obvious.
Some of the sampling and references to classic tracks are extremely subtle and cleverly done... some decidedly less so. I am slightly surprised Love On The Rocks got away with The Love Theme though, because that vinyl was reviewed by RA, sold out in no time, and I've heard that track everywhere this summer. All in all, not exactly an underground club obscurity.
Yeah, listen, that's not what I created this thread for. These days I distinguish between the modern trance scene and what I call the "legacy trance" scene. Any middle aged guys from 20+ years ago playing stuff you think is good - please go and make a separate thread for them. This one is specifically about the new generation of producers and DJs.

I'll take my trance in 24bit rather than the higher price usual 16bit that Beatport has

Before anything, it's NOT hypnotic techno. Very different sound from Claudio who has not only been improving his sound over the past couple of years but is also demonstrating strong versatility.
probably the wrong thread but couldn't find the melodic trance one. and uplifting trance is shit. so here we are.
Mate, you know perfectly well this isn't the thread for tracks like these.
I need to do an update, it's been a while since I've posted anything in my own thread. Just need to find a hot minute.

In all fairness, I honestly thought the Noel Sanger track would be a banger based on name recognition alone. Oh well.
I just wanna add that SJ is looking for that analog-sounding, UK prog sound
This track pays homage to the 90's. It came out last month.
THink this also worth hawking in here (although coming in I notice Hoope also did the Reality Checkpoint into Exosphere mix
)

Well, if Dave's gonna post his mix, I might as well do the same with my latest one for posterity:
