From my limited sources of info, e.g. Muzik magazine and some websites I understand that new trend in London and nearing regions is Hard House, Prog, and variations thereof. The moment you travel outside of that area you see that Trance (epic/cheese/whatever you call it) is very much alive. Even Scooter... It was funny that in Muzik magazine Scooter said "I don't give a shit what everyone else thinks, I make music and if people buy my records I am happy.." all while posing with a V finger symbol ( I guess UK equivalent of Feck Off, wankers!)

I am not a proponent of Scooper - I do agree he makes lame music but back in 97, 98 he was one of the few outlets to Trance that was available (yeah, I cringe now when I listen to him but it was fun then.... FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aNYwho... I don't think I can classify any DJ as the DJ that i "hate" I just have some that I don't care for or don't particularily enjoy but I give mad props to anyone who made it so far as to be even known... I mean when was the last time you heard someone say "I hate DJ Richie Rich!" ? Percisely, coz' no one knows that DJ even though he has been spinning locally (in Philly) for over 15 years... So, for every name mentioned here think about it this way - they paid their dues and they made it through the ranks. Weather you like it or not - your choice. I don't particularily enjoy The Carpenters or castrated-dog-like wailing of Beck so I don't listen to them, I don't spend money on their shit, I don't even download a single packet of their MP3 rips - why??? BECAUSE IT WOULD MAKE ME VOMIT!

So, be wise - enjoy your music and choose words like "hate" carefully. Hate is a strong word... Having said that, I don't hate DigWeed... if you think PvD is lame or stary-eyed, I think Digweed looks one chromosome away from Down syndrome face... and he's totally unemotional. But I don't hate him - I just don't like the music he spins and his "stage personality".. but I think his mixing and technique rules.

Dj Richie Rich

I never thought i would see his name on this website, no matter what the context. Let this name never be uttered again.

My vote for most hated dj, and anyone in America should agree with this: Louie Devito

The music is here to bring people together - not for snobbery and elitism - most people on here dont understand that.

You really do hate that other people dislikes hardhouse doesn't you?

That's your third counterattack on peoples taste in this thread

Yo! Philly in da house! : Anywho - Louie DeVito, tru dat, tru dat...

Actually - I see a trend emerging.. Any DJ who made a "Pop Trance" compilation deserves to be bashed and booed.

Now, sell-out labels that have disgraced themselves??? on top of my list is MoS! I cannot believe that MoS has sunk to level this low:

MoS presents DJ Sammy...

I think he just hates the way in which your going about expressing the fact that you dont like it, which has neither been subtle or informed.

GRAAAAAAA lol...

judge jules

i dunno... it seems like he's extreemly popular because of people that are just getting into the genre... =o/

his sets are full of trainwrecks... his selection is shitty...

and i dunt remember what live set it's in... but when he spun darude - sandstorm, and TOOK FOREVER TO GET OUT OF THE BREAK cause he's a dumb shit and kept it going for 2 er 3 minutes... while it sounded like one of the tables was only on the right or left side... i don't remember... and the volume kept going down every time he went back to that fuck'n table... GRAAAAAAAAA... lol... whoreable (spell it out 'yo') =oP

other than that... oakie's gone down the drain... but i don't hate em for it... i mean... he was pretty much one of (if not) the top dj(s) for almost all of the 90's

i figure he's spinning what he's gotten into... and still does a good job (just not my cup o tea) he's earned every right to do whatever the fuck he wants to do with music...

oh... and dj doboy... fuck that mp3 trainwreck dj from hell gettin popular with little 6 year olds!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! lol

okay... that's all... =oP

i don't know why the hell you guys could ever diss scooter, regardless of how cheese some of the vocals in his tunes are. he has contributed so much to electronic musik, im ashamed of you people for flaming him.

Posted by SgtFoo on Feb-21-2003 02:16:

darude

he doesn't even deserve ther espect of a capital letter for his name. I just don't like his music and musical drive as he tell it to the media.

Thumbs down fat boy slim

i absolutely hate big beats!!!

but i can see that fat boy slim has been important in promoting electronic dance music, no disrespect!

i also think prodigy is sooooo over-rated, they suck big time! one-hit wonder w crazy hairdo's!

if dj tzi can be called a dj, i hate his guts

weird thread btw, feels creepy to be hating stuff in this otherwise so friendly forum

Jules is really popular here in holland

Johan Gielen - I havent heard a single well mixed and well structured set by him

Jean - As a trance DJ he should be shot

Dana, Pavo, Pilla, Luna and the rest of the Q-dance Hardstyle clan - I HATE hardstyle (Except for Haze & Abyss)

Tomcraft - That TE set of him gotta be the worst set I have EVER heard

Tillman Uhrmacher - Can you say Cheese?

Mark Spoon - This guy has an attitude problem, he used to be good though

ATB - Someone please shoot him!

DJ sammy - looks and acts like a retard, can't spin for shit aswell

Posted by jp on Feb-24-2003 17:07:

DJ Jean because he screws all those 15 year old girls, which is fine by me as long as he calls them back but off course he doesn't

DJ Tiesto for 1000 reasons, one of them being I just don't like his ugly face

Johan Gielen's hair makes me puke. Only Baxxtor (Scooter) can get away with such a look

Mauro Picotto used to play such great tracks. The last sets all sound like chicken being fried alive. He should produce, not spin

does double beat refer to when the beat is 'perfectly off' as in one beat hits exactly halfway between the other beat ? ive always wondered why djs dont try this more often... seems like it might sound interesting, like a constant double bass pedal or something

--dannyB--

ps - very much like pvd

Posted by FinnHawk on Feb-24-2003 18:46:

TIESTO!

I dont hate him as a person. I just think he is WAY overrated. He doesn't have very good DJing skills... his mixing sucks. his music is too cheesy for my liking.

um no, it means not being able to beatmatch the two tracks, the beats go everywhere, and a quick fade across is the result
it doesn't sound interesting, it sounds horrible

Posted by Laughingfennec on Feb-24-2003 19:31:

this whole thread is not very intelligent, far from it...

Posted by neoraver on Feb-24-2003 19:54:

Jan Wayne
Dj Alligator Project
Klubbheads
Dj Sammy
Ravers on Dope

they've done nothing, i just don't like their music. respect goes out to all those who like them (like nearly all my friends), but not to prodigy. i've seen them live two or three times and it usually ends by them grabbing loads of teengirls to "get acquainted" for the rest of the night... disgusting!

and i agree that they were probably important for the scene as a whole and the development of electronic music. i used to like some tunes early on, but they're always played too many times and they all sound the same.

about fusion of rock and rave: i think some of the harder drum'n'bass acts and rock/synth bands like skinny puppy or ministry have done this about a million times more brilliantly. no disrespect
