You have no idea how much I'm bitching about this, My entire trip was planned around 3 events, LoveParade being the big one. It may not have messed up my plans but its certainly taken out the highlight

The Loveparade 2007 will not take place in Berlin!
Dear Friends of the Loveparade,

today we regretfully have to make public some very sad news. Due to the failure to date of the City of Berlin to grant us written approval, the Loveparade 2007 cannot be held in Berlin. We do not have the level of planning security necessary for the preparation of an event of this magnitude:

No one builds a house without a permit.

Following months of preparations, discussions with our sponsors, partners and friends, we so to say have done our homework:
- the concept has been prepared
- the financing has been secured just as last year through our main sponsor McFit
- the production is in the starting blocks
- all partners from last year would again be lending their support this year
- new partners have been added
- all applications have been made within the required times

We are ready to go.

We have on several occasions attempted to get the City of Berlin to grant us written approval and repeatedly postponed the press conference for this reason. But now time is running out and we cannot wait any longer!
Because we nevertheless want to organise a Loveparade for this year, we have taken the decision to seek out a new partner city in Germany or Europe. As of this moment cities interested in hosting the event can get in contact us. We are looking forward to receiving applications and are sure that the show will go on.

We hope that you are able to understand why we are making this move, and we are asking you for your continuing support.

Because: You are the parade!

We are as equally disappointed as you about this situation but hope that we will be able to create a party just as great as the one held in Berlin.

Best regards,

The Loveparade Team

HA HA
its quite funny, there were talks last year that it was only going to be a one off, so i guess they were right.... im memory of the LP

Posted by Trance Nutter on Feb-25-2007 12:33:

oh well, if it gets moved to another city in Germany I should be able to get there, if not hopefully some of the peripheral parties still happen (Love From Above etc).

Don't think I'll bother go over to A'dam for the weekend for Sensation though

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on Feb-27-2007 00:47:

after my contiki is over we are heading back to england for global gathering. has anyone been? where did u stay?

we were thinking of camping there. it might be to much lugging a tent around though so thinking of maybe staying at a BNB.

i wanna try and figure something out in the next couple of weeeks so i dont have to worry about it while im up there.

if anyone has any suggestions let me know

Posted by **Xenon** on Feb-27-2007 01:16:

Yeah camped out there in 2005. You can hire camping gear there so you don't have to lug it around and it wasn't too steep either. But I had English mates with tents already so didn't need to worry. It was horribly organised in comparison to other European festival camping sites but maybe they've cleaned up their act.

If you wanna stay in Stratford (20 min bus trip away), remember to book early, it usually gets booked out iirc.

club parties aren't normally affected by the parade. "Love Week" still continues in Berlin.

sweet. is jizza doing the same one? prepare for a bus full of aussies LOL. it's hella fun though. The trick is to get in on the action on DAY ONE man

make sure you guys have an mp3 player or something. good for those long bus rides when you don't want to listen to the retarded music playing on the bus.

nah, still going to A'dam for the week around Dance Valley, no point going over twice in the space of a week and losing time in Berlin.

berlin was my fav city, i suggest keeping an eye out for sensation lineup.. its an awesome experience to do it in amsterdam, but yea its really up to you

Posted by jizza on Mar-01-2007 00:17:

so anyone else here gonna do sensation white? man no-one looks good in white. NO-ONE.

Posted by **Xenon** on Mar-01-2007 01:17:

Yeah might make it 3 in a row, not that I rate Sensation that much. Have to see what mates are doing but the 07/07/07 thing makes it pretty cool. But if Loveparade is on at Munich or some other city might go to that. Line-up at Sensation doesn't mean a whole lot IMO, it's more just about the event rather than the music.

Posted by jizza on Mar-01-2007 02:03:

3rd in a row?!? are you based in europe? and ok how did you rate sensation after your first experience? and whats the 07/07/07 thing apart from it being the date?
