probably one of the most interesting guys i dated was an actor and sailing instructor. he was really sweet and definitely someone i could have stuck with for a while, but i was young and screwed it up by blowing him off and going for a cokehead alcoholic instead.

that's exactly what i did. i had a great guy and went for the arrogant chiropractor. i mean i can't regret it at this point in my life because i did some major fucking soul searching and partying during those years that i will never forget about. i needed to get that out of my system obviously.

Well, some turntablists sort of create new pieces of music by combining lots of different loops and stuff. But most DJs are just playing two or three songs at once at the same tempo...

most DJs are former band nerds lol of course they can play an instrument but they chose edm which doesn't involve that. it's still performing and doing SOMEthing with music. i mean yea you can't go comparing nirvana to oakenfold lol but they do fall under the same category. they have record sales and go on tour and have groupies, etc...

And I've dated a guy that played the drums. It was alright I guess but he wasn't in a band or anything until later when we had broken up already. Maybe I'm just getting my hopes up (which I shouldn't) but this bassist and I just started talking and he's pretty cool so far

I mean we both got out of relationships fairly recently....so I'm definitely gonna keep it a friends level at the moment lol. But I just wanted to hear other girls opinions first. I've heard the whole cheating thing before but I don't think this guy is into that.

oakenfold isn't a musician either i don't think he ever did any of his own music

let's use simple logic here and say that while some DJs might have been or are musicians being a DJ doesn't make you a musician

No it doesn't. A musician is someone who actually generates the sounds of a song, or combines pre-existing sounds (samples / loops) to make a new piece of music, not simply plays pre-made tracks one after the other.
