But yeah I was happy that the vendors weren't there this year. When you looked over the crowd at EDC I would say there were 75% less glowsticks and shit, and 75% less people just sitting on the floor staring at lightshows.

I'm with everyone else - you wanna rave, that's fine. Go to a show out in San Bernardino in a warehouse, pay 20 bucks, and rave to the grave. But don't bring that BS to top class talent like Armin van Buuren or Swedish House Mafia and sit there gawking at lightshows with no idea of who's on stage or what track is playing. It's almost offensive at this point when a kid comes up to me and asks "who is that?" I remember standing in line at POP 2 years ago and 2 girls in line had no clue who Tiesto was.

Take your raving somewhere else and go complain about it on ravelinks.

... boy that was an angry rant

actually what tripped me out at EDC was meeting a couple of chesty hot girls during Kaskade's set and finding out they didnt know who Kaskade was.

i only said that because i thought in this day and age, most people at these events would at least know who Kaskade is.

how does that surprise you? i'm pretty sure the majority of people there were confused who was playing but as long as they like it whatever. when i started listening to this me and my group of friends, all of us girls would just go clubbing, none of us had any idea who was playing. these parties build interest. also guys like to act like they know music but what i've learned is a ton of them are just as clueless as the ladies.

i don't dislike tiesto because years ago i loved him as well, same with oakenfold, in 1999 his essential mixes were my gateway into the music. my problem is that nobody looks at tracklists to find out what they like specifically and consequently just assume it's all tiesto/pvd/armin/etc. oh well at least these followers do us all a favor by buying tickets and helping fund parties to hear DJs we all actually like .
