I got to learn how to use the CNC router at work today...it is super cool (though I don;t like the model they bought lol) 75,000 dollars worth of machinery at my fingertips muhahahaha.

i could think of a lot better things to do with $75,000 than buy a router. right now i think i'd buy a lot of food because i seem to be hungry all the time.

I would not buy one for my house. especially considering that it takes up 50 square feet of floor space and weighs just under 2000 pounds.

But in the commercial fabrication business it is a HUGE labor saving device. It can cut a bunch of intricate shapes out of a sheet of plywood in 20 minutes that would take a skilled carpenter 3 or 4 hours to layout and cut by hand.

It be a noisy bastard of a machine though so earplugs in the shop ar e amust when it be running.

I have a supa sweet Jig Saw.
Porter-Cable Model 9857 (I think that is the right number) D Handle variable speed jig saw with orbital blade action and tilt base. Cost me 185 bucks when I bought it a couple years ago. IMHO it is the best saw on the market.

Though in 99 cases out of 100 if you pull out the jigsaw you have already lost the battle. It is almost NEVER the best tool for the job. hehe.

Ok I need to post something interesting to people since i killed the thread with my last 2 posts.......

It is really really windy here right now. When I was driving home from work the sustained winds were 41 Mph and the gusts were 52...it is currently in the mid 30Mph range I guess...I think I am going to have to crank up the heat a bit though...the apartment feels a bit chilly.

Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
My goldfish is under me
To bathe for hours
Makes my mouth water
Im foamely ecstatic
Its not a problem
I lazy round
Bubbly and stubborn

I lazy round
Melon and water
Is just a dream
It makes me wonder
Is it a sin ?
Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
Bombs, you keep away from me!
Today lying low
Twisting up my toes
I swim in such harmony
So what bothers me:

Chorus :
Im fed up with loneliness
With my uncle overstressed
Fumbling, crawling for something
That never shows, just a dream.
Im fed up with creeps crying
Over the past, such a sin
Not to be cool, but a fool
If I could mess up their rules.
Im fed up with your complaints
Baby, well Im not a saint!
Fed up with the rain, the plane
That makes me throw up again.
Im fed up with all cynics
Bathing caps and all critics
Im fed up with being fed up! Poor me !

Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
My goldfish still under me!
Delight of pleasures
Aquatic treasures
A place out of misery, my fantasy

so you can't really take pictures in damn hurricane... i really thought i was going to get blown over when i was walking by the potomac. so, the photography trip was relatively unsuccessful. and everything i drank today tasted like bourbon, it was awful.
