*cough*gay?*cough* lol..ii know what you mean j/k, the sex scene just came out of no where....you know nerds these days, can't do anything other than think about sex for a week...

Posted by LiquidX on May-22-2003 22:37:

What's wrong with the sex scene?!?!? .. Damm .. I thought you.. cough cough.. guys.. cough cough.. won't be bother to watch that kind of things.. I see that you guys might be on the OTHER side of the road of things.. sorry if that scene bother you .. .. In my opinion, that scene was so great in the meaning of how the music, people dancing and them on the sex scene, it fits so well, that's what TRANCE music is all about too.. so WTF?

Posted by dj_mdma on May-22-2003 22:49:

OMFG!

SO GOOD, MUST WATCH AGAIN

all this talk of matrix's within matrix's, 2 matrix's, Neo is a program and stuff, it hurts my brain to think!

The 3rd one is going to be the best as it will explain everything, the trailer was too short at the end tho!!

the special efffects rocked, and the fight scenes were sooooo good too.

Matrix r0x0rs!

it'd be neat to have an Animatrix 2 to fill a lil info before Revolutions

btw, those credits were LONG. It must have been like 15 minutes. i was dying to see the Revolutions preview! It looks great!

you know, sometimes things just don't fit with each other and having a sex scene in the matrix is like having a deep philosophical scene in a porno movie. it was just stupid.

i liked the movie overall, but i thought that compared to the first part it had too many major flaws. although i was really really tired to tell / comprehend...

it seems to me that the movie got commercialized - they saw how popular all the special effects from part i were and they incorporated more of them into the second part

SPOILERS!!

for example, neo stopping bullets, ripple effect, green matrix outlines of people, kung fu fighting... i think the first 45 or so minutes of the movie are totally pointless and stupid... party? commanders? the sex scene? wtf? when morpheus was standing in that other commander's office, i felt like i was watching star trek.
why would they ever make cliched subplots in the matrix, such as the niobe conflict? plus wtf is up with neo being the superman of the 21st century?
i think the movie should've started with the oracle scene. but on the other hand, the third part is where everything will be explained and where it will end. this was just a pre-story, which was packed with random special effects and marketed as a movie. i feel that the third part will be much better. my friend said i should've watched the animatrix before i saw Reloaded, it explains some stuff too. i can't believe though that spiderman still beat reloaded in terms of grossing money...

anyway, i was so wiped out during the movie, not only did i not catch the plot, i forgot what the hell happened. lol. anyway, i'd wanna see it again, not so much for the special effects, but to understand it more.

Yes, the movie was too filled with all those unnecessary action scenes. And that stupid tribal dance and Morpheus addressing the nation speech were totally uncalled for. It would have been better if they had focused more on the plot development instead of all that fighting.

Posted by occrider on May-23-2003 01:12:

Instead of putting up with this whole matrix crap why can't the machines simply lobotomize and sedate every human they harvest so that they'll be mindless zombies err batteries?

Or better yet why not make batteries out of deer or cows? Hmmm seems to me like they would be much more compliant and less of a risk.

Posted by JohnSmith on May-23-2003 01:14:

that's what i wondered in the first one. they explain it by us "waking up" but, i don't see how that would stop them harvesting our biological energy.

maybe they feed on the strife and struggle of the human condition? if so, they be getting a good fucking meal from me!

Posted by DR86 on May-23-2003 02:13:

seen it twice already....might see it a third time soon

the fight with the "protector" of the oracle was so stupid. "u can not truly know someone without fighting them." i almost felt like walking out because the first half hour is so ridiculous and unnessessary

saw this today. fucking wikid. i love the chase and all fight scenes. top stuff, cant wait for part3

Hahaha yea ... I think this film was "driven" to show off its special effects as opposed to the first film where the special effects revolved around the plot. I can just imagine the director scratching his head thinking "now how can we fit in this action sequence" Oh well, still a great movie imo

werd. exactly!

i guess i'm not the only one who noticed that almost every single cool special effect from the first movie that the audience liked was included in the second movie? the ripple effect, kung-fu, flying, bullet time, slow-mo, etc.......

Posted by Ajay on May-23-2003 17:34:

OK! Just back from seeing it and its great yea...

BUT

I think the trailer ruined it for me, it showed off most of the fight scenes , so it wasnt really much of a surprise for me.

I wasnt totally blown away like when i seen the first one either
I was expecting ALOT more to tell u the truth.

Still a great film but i guess i was expecting something totally new

i loved the fight scene where neo takes on 100 smith agents... now that was sex!!

Hope the third one is better than the 1st and 2nd combined together This time im not watching the trailer for it though lol

Posted by TranceSeeker on May-23-2003 21:37:

Just got back from the movie and I can say this is a really crappy movie....
Okay the specials where cool and some scenes were too but overall this movie bored the shit out of me and couldn't keep my attention.
I was happy the movie ended, so I could go home

movie suxed heres why:

-it revolved around special effects.

-felt like watching a video game (especially the fight scenes).

-no character development like the M1. Neo gains new outfit and powers but hasnt learned anything new.

-techno babble mix with pop philosophy is a leathal combo "this program hacked that program" we will be laughing our asses off in couple of years when we look back at this movie.

-plot? where the hell is this movie heading? left the end so wide open they can do what ever the hell they want in the 3rd, 4th, 5th,... sequel

-movie couldnt stand on its own. anyone who didnt see M1 wouldnt know what f*ck is going on. I saw the 1st movie and still had a hard time following this one (especially the Creater scene)

-neo is so powerful we, know he cant be killed, where is the suspense when the hero cant be killed.

i was expecting an entertaining movie not psedo intellectual video game.

It looks to me like Matrix 3 is gonna be the same thing as this one, because they recorded them both at the same time. They should have waited a while with recording the third part to see how the audience would react to this one. That way mistakes from this part could be corrected.

Posted by TranceGiant on May-24-2003 10:34:

I disagree wiht most of you. Found this one mindblowing to say the least. Then again this relies on my conviction that part 3 will solve all the mysteries. If however, the final film will be just a big machine vs. humans war, i'll take everything back.

Posted by Ajay on May-24-2003 11:12:

well it was kind of boring,

WTF was the matrix creator talking about in that room with neo? (with the 100000 tv's)

?!?!

Posted by Paula on May-24-2003 14:41:

The Architect? THat guy was a surprise...

If I remember right, I think he was talking about how Neo couldn't really make a "choice" and there were other Matrices before the current one, and he was the 6th radical person to try to destroy it and he's destined to fail and blah blah blah.....anyone else remember?

Posted by whiskers on May-24-2003 14:54:

i still can't stop myself from thinking about what the "predecessors" chose. just boggles the mind. i think from the behavior of the other characters we can tell what the 5 neos before our neo did.

omg matrix action figures booo lol
