You were new once too, and someone still gave you a chance for a your first gig. Show some respect.

You misunderstood. I wasn't suggesting it was your first gig. But as for those DJs who played whom you claim have no skill...keep in mind that those are probably the newer DJs, the ones looking for exposure and experience so they can improve. You were once in the same boat.

that's not what she meant. she meant that you had to play out for the firts time once too (not necessarily at invasion) and some one gave you a chance.

and as an aside: very fw ppl i've seen play out for teh first time have goten that much of a positive response as sara.

Yes, I'm sure these people will be outright crushed to hear that their sets weren't good enough for your keen musical ear...

You do realize that this is getting ridiculous!!!! We all diss DJs if they had a bad night or if we didn't like their sets. Even if half the records in our record box are made by these DJs. What the fuck is the point. Plus she was going back into the VIP area where TAs were spinning. Supporting our "community" like you both blatently refuse to accept.

What the hell did Sara do to you anyway?

This is a condradictory statement. Do you or don't you want to pick at little technical mishaps.

I had pretty much stayed out of this, btu now you are making claims that dont make any sense

what she said was nothing to do with skill, mixing or anything. It was style related.
To say that she is 'lacking respect' because he was playing slower music (I assume) is completly absurd. She did not say he was a bad DJ, or that he doesnt know what hes doing. She wanted faster beats. Thats what the statement says. You want to twist it to fit your needs, do it in your head. dont spread falsities on the board.
otherwise, it will end up with things like

"I saw mecha talking to a guy, so he must be gay"
thats the same inference that you are making. Its just plain out not right, and not true.

but the best part of this thread is when LKD argued with himself.

wow dude, i really don't know you... and please i don't want to start a whole new argument... but i heard your opening set... and the reason why i think you say mixing isn't important... is because your not the best mixer... i heard many technical difficulties in your set... although i knew you were doing the best that you could... your trackselection was ok... but it wasn't really an opening set... you could of played a more pre peak time set... anyways... thats just my opinion.

reading this made me laugh so much. if you guys knew eric you'd know that he is a supernice guy that goes out of his way not to say anything unkind.

if you had someone translate 'ericspeak'into 'normalspeak'it would go like this...

not the best mixer..technical difficulties in your set= trainwrecked every mix

but it wasn't really an opening set= you banged it out as if your set started at 2am
