I don't really like Denise, but attacking him because he likes her is childish, IMO. Please keep that bullshit out of this thread.

I guess I'm a groupie of about 80 DJs considering all the pics I have with DJs.

Also, I noticed that you don't cover events that are "raves", only club nights.

I will cover raves if it involves acts worth seeing that are't totally local or if it's an event that I personally think is cool.

Lotus, you're getting your shit twisted. Yes, I don't know him, but to say I can't say anything about him here because I don't personally know him is bullshit. That's like saying that all the people here can't talk about Tiesto, PVD, Armin, Ferry and the like because they don't personally know them. That's different than if you were to say he's a particular type of person because of his skills or personality. Saying he's a "fucking retard" from hearsay or even agreeing with people being the sheep you are, is not proving anything on the matters of the venue itself or who was scheduled to be at that event. See, you're misconstruing what I'm saying only because you'll make an assumption of someone before you actually know them. Get your head out of your ass, and try to at least see that he's dealing with situations. Situations that are putting him against other DJ's/Promoters. How he goes about that doesn't really affect the two of us but I'm hoping that you can at least comprehend what is going on, rather than "second guess" it.

I'm going to assume Dave "works" for Tranceaddicts, and I might be able to offer some advice on this. It's best for Tranceaddicts to get "hits" because of a broader coverage of what is happening within San Francisco. Trippendicular is a prime example of an event that I feel could use some coverage on here, and if so asked/required, I'll be more than glad to give the information for it.

After all, this is the San Francisco parties :2004 edition. That's open for interpretation beyond clubs.

2. Personally, I'm not hugely interested in local acts. Everyone knows about local acts. I try to let everyone know about DJs outside of this area that are coming to town, especially international DJs. But, as I said, if I think a special event is happening that is very nice and includes just local DJs, I will still list it...just like the 1998/1999 event that happened this past weekend. I thought that idea of that event was very nice and I would have love to be there if I wasn't in Florida.

If you think you could do a better job and keep it as up to date as I do, then by all means take over the list. Less work for me. I do it just because I travel a bit and need to know what's up as far in advance as possible to be sure I'm in town whenever I can be when someone I want to see is playing...and I spend a few extra minutes adding the BBCode to make it postable on these here boards (and a couple other places).

I only stated that there could probably be coverage of "raves". There ARE international headliners, and out of town talent that make it to San Francisco. Since it seems to be your "duty" to handle this thread, I merely offered a suggestion. Do you think I want to take a "job" as menial as that? No way, Jose.

It's a simple yes or no.... Do you want me to cover "raves" in the case that talent from overseas or out of the local area, show up?

If there is a decent raves with acts I believe are interesting then I list it. Like when Rank 1 played in February in a rave here...I listed that.

I should point out that I mainly make the list for myself, but share it with everyone just so people are at least somewhat informed. So if there's an event which doesn't remotely interest me, I don't list it. If there's some international DJ coming into town that I don't give a who-ha about, it'll never be listed - whether they are coming for a rave or to play at a club. Simple as that. It's not meant to be the end-all, be-all of party lists.

It is in no way my "duty" to keep up this list...I just keep myself informed and share what I find out with everyone else. It's called being friendly, ya know.

On my next update, I will add this though, as I think it's cool he's playing here even though I won't be going as there are two other acts I'd much rather see the same night (Christopher Lawrence and Astral Projection)

Ferry stated in an interview that he would be a tour in Canada, N. America and S. America in September and October. Considering there are already dates popping up for him in early September in the US, I am going to make an "educated guess" he'll be here in September as well.
