Thanks,
It seems as if the limited and special editions dont have normal cd cases so you cant slide them into a CD rack. I saw the regular one at the store and it had a kinda box-set feel in the way that it was a cardboard style cover (which is classy IMO), THink ill go with that one.
Involved
Awesome CD I must say. Very classy, slick & sexy. I loved pretty much every track on it.

Surely this cd is not ancient
. I think I'll even buy it, especially since I listened to the demo version (read .mp3) the album grew on me, especially the 3-4 first tracks.
What can I say, **goes to find special edition version from local recordstore**
It's the best album of 2004...you cannot expect people to simply stop talking about it just like that. I just can't get enough of this cd.
I got if for xmas. I love track 4... Just sick as feck
Sasha is the king
just got the 2xCD with my border's xmas gift cards. WOOHOO. I've been loving this album since day one. It was my poolside music during beautiful summer nights, and it's got a soft spot in my cd player during starlight drives into the city.
I agree the packaging for the 2xCD is pretty retarded. You have to be houdini to get the cd back into those cardboard cutouts. but hey I paid for the music, not the packaging...and thus a happy camper.
Sasha is definitely one of the few EDM artists who doesn't get criticized like an armin, tiesto, pvd. simply because his critics have nothing to say...he shuts them up with flawless transitions, brilliant track selection, and impeccable studio work.
10/10
Album o' the year bar none, there's not even a close second bleep on the radar.
So should I join the Sasha-gang?
I must say, impressive music... Very inventive and groundbr... OW CUT THE CRAP. I'm not into this music, and I may never will be. Or maybe I will have to listen to it more often to like it. So instead of putting "Aphex Twin - Drukqs" or "Ferry Corsten - Infinite Euphoria" in my CD player, I have to take some more time to sit down and listen to this one... mmmhh...
Perhaps my statement WILL stay the same: "Pretty boring music compared to what's usually in my CD-player
" and all those uber-pretentious people who are praising this one in heaven
Will I become one of them?
I will have some more listens, though
???
Went to Virgin and they have the 3 versions: Normal, Limited and Special. Are the liner notes (booklet) the same in all 3? I've heard the Limited Edition CD's booklet has separate card for each of the tracks liner notes. The same liner notes which appear in the other 2 editions? What's inside the Special Edition CD? So the only difference in the 3 editions is the case (normal cd case, pillow-type package and ... plastic bag (2CDs))?

| Originally posted by GrimReaper If i remember right, even the case of the "Standard Edition" isn't a standard jewel case but a cardboard box sort of case with a regular inlay booklet. Limited Edition is a magical transparent plastic box thingy which is too big to fit in about any cd shelf or storage system.. but it has the separate detail cards for each of the tracks with Sasha telling something little about each track as well, what why how he chose them, what he done with them etc. And finally the Special Edition is a 2CD edition (with selected unmixed Sasha remixes over the years on disc 2) digipak with a non-user-friendly disc attach system and a regular booklet attached to the case, all packed in a silver plastc bag just like the SE of the vinyl edition too. |

Just listened to this again while writing a paper on personal integrity and the flaws it illuminates within utilitarian ethical systems.
Still as brilliant as ever, and somehow it seemed particularly appropriate to hear "On My Own" while working on this project.
And I still say that trying to do this over again would be a crime against humanity.
I'll LOVE this mix forever!!!!
