I'd ask if it's true that there are two doors, one leading to heaven and the other leading to hell. You'll be able to tell which door is which based on who lies. It's pretty simple. |

Here's a good riddle.
There are 2 men who work at a gas station. They have a game where they guess who pulled up to the pump on the wrong side of their take filler. They have cameras on each stall as to look at the rear of the car in the stall. They cannot see the filler for the tank, they only find out who is correct when the customer gets out and either moves to a different pump or tries to fill as is. Bob is right 99% of the time, yet Jim is right only about 13 percent of the time. How is Bob so good at this?

A deaf-and-dumb man went into a subway. He walked up to the cashier's booth and gave the cashier, whom he had never met before, a dollar. The subway tokens cost 40 cents each. The cashier gave the man two tokens. Not a word was said, nor any sign given. How did the cashier know that the man indeed wanted two tokens?
The guy is dumb, the cashier ripped his ass off and since the guy is a complete idiot - of course no words were said. He just walked off. LOL - right?

In the remaining bag, each bead weighs only 9 kilograms. All the bags and beads look identical. You must find out which bag has the lighter beads. The problem is that all the bags look identical and all the beads look identical. You can use a scale, but it has to be a single-tray scale, not a two-tray balance scale. Also, you may use the scale only once. How can you find out which bag has the lighter beads? just pulled this off the web...looking at the solution its pretty fucking hard... |
. For 1<=n<=5, take n beads from bag n. The sum should be 10*n(n-1)/2, but will be short by (10-9)*n = n kilograms.
For a slightly more difficult problem, try this month's ponder:

Part 1 took me a few hours, but it's fun and reasonably challenging
