Nous regrettons cette d�cision mais nous la respectons�, a imm�diatement comment� le pr�sident de la F�d�ration allemande, Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder, qui se trouvait � son c�t�. V�ller �tait sous contrat jusqu'en 2006.
L'information avait d�j� �t� annonc�e par le quotidien Bild dans son �dition du matin. Selon les envoy�s sp�ciaux du journal, la d�cision aurait �t� prise dans la nuit de mercredi � jeudi, soit quelques heures apr�s la d�faite contre la R�publique tch�que.
Comme � l'Euro 2000, la s�lection allemande a �t� �limin�e au 1er tour de l'Euro, sans avoir remport� une seule rencontre. Apr�s deux nuls contre les Pays-Bas (1-1) et la Lettonie (0-0), elle a �t� battue mercredi par la R�publique tch�que (1-2).

good deserved win by portugal.
first was a lucky goal by owen who as everyone saw, was not able to do anything. i think it would have been diffrent if rooney hadn't left the game but overall portugal deserved it. they dominated most of the game. and the goal by rui costa 
i think they have good chance at the championship. now let's hope france also looses :P

wow i cant believe anyone thinks germany deserves to be anywhere but where they are now. Did they ever play like shit. You cant tie latvia and say you deserve to go on. Its like canada loosing to latvia in hockey. And i watched most of the game... i saw two incidents i remember clearly where the latvian striker was halled down in the box and nothing was called. It could have easlily been
2-0 even my German friends say they played like ass and didnt deserve to go on.
France played awful as well. They blew so many chances.

Holland is looking quite strong and hopefully they are able to pull through. i like the team. Second best in the tournament in terms of raw talent in my opinion.
