Astral Projection crossed that line...particularly in disrupting the sets of Marco and M.I.K.E....as was posted, Marco himself was annoyed at the way those guys were acting, saying he'd never witnessed crap that like that before. M.I.K.E. told them off too. How can anyone say that behaviour is cool and that people are just complaining?

And I had no problems with the flag bearers...I like seeing that level of enthusiasm from fans!

As far as live PA sets go from our Israeli friends, Infected Mushroom's set in Jan (with G&D and Rank 1) was WAY better than AP's set this past weekend. I'll cross them off the list of people I care to hear in the future.

ah, how did I forget thanking the crew?!? Half my fun comes from being around good people....trancekyd, *THANK YOU* for leading us straight to the front for Marco's set!!! I think I only had a so-so time at Decadence because everyone was on different wavelengths and it was great to be in sync with someone throughout the night! Chrismack, beanieboy, Cedric, Chris, Natalie (and your friend who's name I forget)...always a pleasure!

Next up...J00F, followed by Scumfrog & Pete Tong! Then LoL! This is turning out to be one hell of a summer

Anal Projection stinks...bunch of jack asses...those supporting their shit faced behaviour were jack asses...they couldnt care less if they killed a person in the crowd...their "supporters" (not of their music but of where they are from...call it an inerior complex if u wish) are jack asses..after reading most of the posts many still dont know half the shit they did..."partying"...my ass

that room should be done away with especially on special events that involve transit from KH to guv coz its totally a mood killer.

iv'e read so many rude comments on here about the israeli
people...so what if they were chanting israel...or holding up their flag, and people saying they were acting like maniacs?? they were having a good time! whats so terrible about that??

as for astral..so what there were a few fukk ups..owell..shit happens, but the music was still amazing, and if you dont like psytrance you didnt have to hang out in that room, and BIG deal if they like to drink, and as for the squirting champagne on people..well its a PARTY! how can you go to a club/party and get pissed about something getting on you? it happens ALL the time, people sometimes bump into me and spill drinks on me, but i dont let it put a damper on my whole nite! if they did "fake" their set thats a little messed up but i was too busy dancing and enjoying the music, not analyzing every move they made, as for fukking up the other dj's sets i do agree that is disrespectful.

and the people complaning about mikes set having too many classics??
cmon, some people just seem to have to complain about something. well my only complaint about his set was that it should have been earlier, cuz by the time he went on my legs were hurting so bad i couldnt even think about dancing, so sitting there and hearing all those amazing tracks and not being able to go crazee was torture..
and then hearing that i left b4 universal nation? well that sucked too! other than that mikes set was great!

its just that after reading all the complaints on here i wonder why some of you even go to parties..it seems like some people are so busy analyzing every little thing that a DJ/ARTIST does or what other people are doing, they cant let themselves have a good time.

JUST CHILL PEOPLE!! DANCE ENJOY THE MUSIC AND HAVE FUN!

COuldnt have put it better myself.

skytrancegirl: just understand that toronto people sadly are generally anal and spoiled. Then maybe you will understand. We are not all this way, but collectively as a city we are.

Worm Popper

That was a fantastic way to go into retirement. Thanks to all the TAs who have made my time in the Trance scene in Toronto that much more fun.

Maybe I'll be back next year, maybe not.
As they say, "Never say never."

Posted by chrismack on Jul-27-2004 14:01:

I kinda like the fact that this isn't a "love-fest" like almost every other TA review. It's like reading that promo magazine "Feature" at the movies where every movie is awesome!!!(!!!) and a "must see".

Sometimes sets are awesome(insert exclamation points here) and sometimes they aren't.

What's wrong with picking out the bits that we don't like. That way if the powers that be ever actually read this thing, maybe they will get a better idea of what goes over well with the TA community and what doesn't.

Oh. and I want to be clear. Nobody was shot at the Guv. He was shot on his way home after spendig the night there.

You said it girl... a lot of people here need to keep their heads out of the clouds.

I understand that some people think DJs should always carry themselves like "professionals", but keep in mind that it is just your opinion and that some people are more interested in a "party" than a "performance." Once again, I don't like how they screwed up the other sets, but I found it very refreshing to see a group actually having fun like AP did.

And one other thing to the people who won't stop complaining: if it's an all-access event with at least 5 rooms to hang out in, you've got no excuse to complain if you didn't like the vibe in one of them but still stuck around anyway.

Nah man, in all honesty hiphop was a genre at the OTHER end of the spectrum, especially for some of us not exactly in a 'sober' state of mind, it did kill the buzz a bit becuase it WAS necessary to move from the KH to the Guv from time to time. Like someone else mentioned, it wouldn't 've been a problem if it was electronic music, ANY other electronic genre, hell I'd even take HHC over hip hop, OR if the room was off in a corner and wasnt THE pathway to get through the complex! But it was out of place, you can't disagree with that...

Come on now guys, This nite was sick, we should be happy that we only had to deal with walking through the orange room and listening to rap for a min or so. Atleast we werent rammed like in tiesto, pvd, or sasha, i was so happy to finally be able to dance without having to elbow someone for more room every 30 seconds

OMG tell me about it! I dont think we'll EVER see the Guv/KH like that again... sadly..

There was even room to dance at the front of the Dj Booth!

Posted by dj_chinky on Jul-27-2004 19:07:

dont take things for granted and parties will be worth it everytime!!

I had a wicked time at KH.. didnt really chek out the guv much cause it was such a hassel to go through the orange room.. it was rammed in there.. even the hiphop was good! what made me the happiest was the fact that i got a group of my friends that arent into trance and house to make that party..and they loved it too! i think that was my longest saturday.. got there at 12.. then went to the zone after till about 4pm.. saw some things i didnt wanna c..but met some really kool ppl.. everyone is quite a character there! now i cant wait till i go up to c infected mushrooms at aria.. damn! keep gettin these tingles when i think of aria!

I can't really comment on the Orange Room since I just stayed in the Kool Haus all night - I don't get why they play hip hop in there anyway. I was referring more to the people who hate psytrance, couldn't stand AP's set, but stayed in the Koolhaus anyway when there were several other rooms to go to. I mean honestly, if they despised AP's set so much, I'm sure 30 seconds of hip hop would have been well worth it to move to the Guv, Skybar, Acid Lounge, or Drink instead.
