Hey man,

If you need any help with this then let me know. I am a journalism major, plus, I am pretty good at web design/graphic design. I even have some ideas that would go pretty well with yours. PM me if you need my help.

Hi all,

Because of people requesting all kinds of features, I will create a page where you can request a feature and view a list of existing features.

There will be three colors to indicate the status of a certain feature:

- GREEN: will definately be implemented
- ORANGE: still in consideration, might be implemented
- RED: will not be implemented

In this way, everybody can keep track of what will and will not be on the website, and I don't have to reply to this thread everytime to answer the same questions over and over.

I will also include a status bar on the project-website, so you can see the progress i'm making (or not).

I will post the link once i'm done, which will probably be later today or tomorrow.

is it up yet?

Apparently somebody misunderstood the function of the website. It is NOT for promoting yourself, it is for requesting features that you would like to see on the final tranceaddict dj's website.

I have chosen to do it via a website because it is much easier for me to see all the features that you would like to see, plus you have a much better overview of what will be on the website.

Well, all the features you requested on the feature request site have been answered...

I'm still collecting lots and lots of information trying to make the site as complete as possible. Most of the features that have been requested will definately be implemented.

Because of the size of the complete package, careful planning is an absolute must. Once all the planning is done, I will start building the site.

You should make a list of all the features thatll be on the site
like the specific fields in the DJs and Clubs profiles
so i/we know what else to request

I will do that a.s.a.p. I'm also working on some other websites, so time is limited.

Some general features:

- Moderated comments for each mix/event/etc...
- A comprehensive list of clubs all over the world
- Events from all over the world, including line-up and other stuff
- Party-pics from all over the world (including moderated comments)
- And more...

And on each profile:

- DJ Alias
- Real name
- Age
- Location (City, Country)
- Contact info (website, e-mail, msn, etc...)
- Sex ('Male' or 'Female'; 'Yes please' is not an option... )
- Styles you play
- Biography / Discography
- Producer alias (with a link to your producer-profile)
- Overview of upcoming and past gigs
- Personal photo-galleries (including moderated comments)
- Links to your mixes
- Private Messages
- Personal party-schedule (add an event and see who else is going to the party, so you can meet up and drink a beer/wine/coke/orange-juice/whatever with other dj's...)

And I am considering/working on:

- Booking-information (a link to your booking-agency, or just a phone-number)
- Friends-list, where you can add/remove people to/from your friends-list, just like the buddy-thingy on this site.
- Articles/Tutorials written by expierenced DJ's
- Reviews (music, equipment, etc...)
- A rating system for mixes/songs/events

Will each TA dj sign up for their own account or will they be compiled from what's here?

I think a proper account would be awesome.

You can sign up for your own account, so you can keep track of your own gigs, photos, and information. It's the easiest way to keep such a large amount of information up-to-date. Some general site-features:

- Magazine (including new releases, equipment reviews, and more...)
- Profiles (see above)
- Events (a list of (almost) all the parties around the world)
- Clubs (a list of (allmost) all the clubs around the world)
- Partypics (speaks for itself)

- Private Messaging (just like the one on TA)
- Friends-network (add other dj's to your friends-list)
- And a lot more...

Linked off-site. If the site grows enourmously, I might consider getting a separate storage-server to store the mixes on.

That's the thing that's bugging me also. It would be a bit 'childish' if only ta-members could join, but on the other hand, it IS the TA-dj's website.

For the time being it will be ta's only, after that we'll see what we'll do with it.

how will you make it TAs only?
Perhaps you can ask the TA admin to incorporate it into the site and the forum database

There are several ways to do this:

I think it would be best to start with a ta's only site, to see how the site develops itself.

After that, registration will be open to other dj's as well. You will have the option to enter your tranceaddict user id and username on your profile, so there will still be a link to tranceaddict.
