I agree with most of what you said, except for this... radio shows can be good, they can drive the scene forward... its just that alot of the FM radio shows have to much financial backing from labels, and in turn start to follow a traditional radio set of repeating a tune over and over to drill it into the listeners so they will buy it.

Radio shows, no radio listeners, need to demand fresh content, something that happend with ASOT, but not nearly enough.

Saying that we shouldnt have radio shows because songs get played to much is sort of a smack in the face to the genre saying that it will get boring if heard to much.

I think FM radio shows need to look at their online counterparts, because alot more diversity can and does come out of these stations.

I definitely agree here. If radio shows, while getting a lot of listeners, still continue to push the bar and actually bring something new to the scene, then it's great.

What I was referring to was just my observation of what tends to happen to a radio show once it gets popular; it loses it's edge because it's afraid it will lose listeners if it attempts something new.

The unoriginality of ASOT tracks can be proven. Armin is harder to judge though.

Fair enough - a lot of the ASOT tracks sound pretty similar. But it's like that with a lot of EDM genres, including your beloved progressive. We all know your opinion on ASOT, you don't need to keep posting it.

Meh. Beloved techno, now. I kinda move between genres.

Oh but they have to, those that do it really think that their opinion counts for peoples bandwidth and they'll convert to their fave style/genre. Pathetic really.

But its a fad, ATRC was the first, G&D then followed suit, now ASOT's in turn of the spotlight.

As much of the negativity is on here, it was still the most popular trance music show on the net. Fact.
