Had an awesome time.
Spent the day in Niagara and then headed straight to the KH, so I was kinda tired to begin with. But somehow I managed to stay until 6:30. I think it had something to do with being surrounded by great friends for most of the night.
Out of all the talent brought in, I was there to hear mainly Luke Chable because I heard great things about his productions. I really enjoyed his set, even though it was only an hour long.
I also ventured into the Drink a couple of times where Choo Choo and Nunez were spinning. Awesome stuff from both of them as well (makes me want to go to Boa soon). It was also the first time ever that I spent any significant length of time in that room.
That room is kinda small... but I really like the fact that the DJ booth is RIGHT THERE.
Ferry was great, as usual. But i've never liked the fact that he always drops breaks into his sets. The Guv was a sauna. You could feel the heat as soon as you entered the room.
Enough can't be said about the TA's. You guys and gals are awesome!!! It was GREAT seeing all the usuals, plus some for the first time.
Without all of you, this party just wouldn't be the same.
See you all later this week.

Spent pretty much the whole night in the Guv. Mark Oliver was ok, i was hoping for some dirty techno, but he played some slower stuff and ended off with trance. I was happy to hear him play Hydra -affinity and Katana - In silence =)
As for ferry, I can only rate him for the time i was there, which was the first 2.5 hours of his set. It was mediocre at best. There was about a half hour strach when it was really good, but there was lots of filler. From the other replies, it looks like he saved the good stuff till the very end. Loved it when he played Purple Haze - Adrenaline, sikk track. Both him and armin, were a little dissapointing this time around. They're great Djs, but they could have been much better.
Very busy in the guv too, im still trying to figure out why they didnt put ferry in the KH.
Kind of pissed that there wasn't any dancing room in the Guv until 5:30!! Even then, I noticed that I was surrounded by zombies.
Ending the party with Out of the Blue was fantastic.
Not dissapointed with Ferry at all.

Well to start off i have to say that i just got in from an exam that started at 8;30 and i can't believe that i made it there and actually did well..(pure thanks go to those crazy ppl at Red Bull for creating my life saver)
as for the review...
this party was absolutly amazing... Ferry was off the rocket as usual and Chable held it down like a fiend in the KH...
got there around 11;30 and got to hear all of Chable which was intensly funky and got me hella pumped for Ferry.. went into the Guv around ten after 2.. and made it in there pretty quick which was a pleasent surprise, so anyways.. walked into the Guv and immediately lost 30 lbs due to the heat... my friend and i made our way around the guv at least 3 times before finding a spot in front of the side stage which we held down like Fort Knox that was a)relatively spacious ( by Guv terms..which basically means gave us enough room to use glow sticks)and b) had air around it that was actually breathable..
i have no beef with the Guv atmosphere though..especially on a night with a DJ like Ferry..i find i can get over the heat and thick hard to breath air pretty quickly
the whole time in the Guv i didn't sit once... it just coulnd't happen..Ferry played a non-stop party and i wasn't about to miss one track of it... i was so happy to hear all the bombs he dropped..especially It's Time which was the track i had been looking forward to hearing all week...
once the Guv started to clear out things just got insane...breathing was easy again and there was a nice draft coming in from the patio which gave me even more energy to finish off the night..
all in all i have to say this event was truely amazing and a great way to kick off this hectic finals week with a total de-stressor.. and despite the fact that my friends and i lost over $250 collectively in the span of 1 night..i had an amazing AMAZING time...
it was nice to meet some of you TAs..which i remember meeting some just not any specifics.. except for Jem because i remember you were holding 2 cans of something in the same hand every time i saw you
can't wait too see you all again for the next party i make it up to TO for! Good luck on finals kids!!
Ferry Rules!
So it's Monday and I'm posting my review late b/c....errr.....dahem I haven't slept in 39hrs....and I needed to finally get some
Got to KH 10:45 with some friends, said hello to some TAs I saw, Starsearcher, LKD, drgoodvibe, cono_sur, MaxTO, RobbyG
Heard Chable up close for first time and was pleasantly surprised. Dave Seaman was pretty awesome and I can't say one bad thing about his set yet(Psst....can some1 ID Seaman Tracks for me plz) got so into the music at KH that I lost my friends
Hooked-up with RobbyG and decided we'd better get started for theGuv b4 the masses figured out the time. We got in there early and couldn't believe how packed it was. Wow
they need to get some serious ventilation in there. We went to the smoking lounge for some air(hahhaaha) and then figured It's time to go back into the masses b4 we missed Ferry's intro
Ferry....well we missed it but not the opening song
I LOVE U FERRY!
I posted on his forum that I would go nuts if he played Rachel Star - till there was you (G&D mix) and he so totally made my dream come true. The man is a superstar! Enuf said. RobbyG and I cud hardly dance, kept getting kicked and pushed constantly but nothing mattered to me...Ferry was up And I was in bliss. As we tried to dance and I tried to figure out a way to get up on the speaker facing Ferry. Ran into Nat and met Trigger 4 1st time. Sweet
Sorry Nat, I was so so crazy for that song and Ferry that my mind was too distracted. So we got off the stage and I finally made it to the speaker but got told I couldn't stand on it...Dahem (next time I'm bringing an I love you Ferry sign) Was nice running into dj_shan and his kewl friends. We stayed there as long as we could but the heat was unbearable and no room for dancing was not making it a good time...so Rob and I headed for KH....ah we could breath again. We got seperated at this point and I ran into some more TAs
So here's comes my appreciation list (note-those previously mentioned are sooo on this list too):
Jem_hadar(Jamie)dood ur kewl, Karim-stay kewl dood, Heidi and Mossey (2 of the nicest peeps on earth), Marg and Ray (good people-BTW thanks for the muzzy message Ray....I was missing the bear girl), RJ (loved your t-shirt), djstyles...nice guy, Preppie Chick (your awesome babes), SurrJRS aka Simon...nice to meet ya, Highroller (Graham) OMG...your like the nicest dood, Vivid Boy (Eric) OMG...I finally met you...your posts make my day, dEsidEL (super nice guy), VERTiG0 (Cale) either u or I gotta get Ferry to a TA dinner, The girls DancingQueen and dance2dabeat..nice to see again, Cuzo (aka Frankie the stud), Irish Graham...LOL ur always indaparte, jenna_rae I saw your kewl and awesome guy (mike...forgive me if the name is wrong...but U r definately not forgettable) but where were you jenna?, and soo many others that are equally worth mentioning but for some reason escape my mind right now.
Finally found my friends just as Grayarea was finishing up (can't believe I almost lost my hearing....note to self: protect your hearing)Then Josh Gabriel up next
Josh Gabriel: OMG I love G & D and Josh was doing everything right this nite. I was really enjoying his set when he drops "Till there was you" and the crowd goes nutZ
I decide to risk it all and dance even though my legs are killing me. The guy has style...and managed to dig deep into my soul to find the love again for "as the rush comes"....and that is when I became a total dance whore (I was praying that no ambulance would be called at my expense). Some1 plz post up all the tracks...for the sake of those who missed him....so u can kick your own asses
So then my friends and I went back to see Ferry and of course he could never dissappoint. Ferry is a GOD! enuf said. Stayed long enuf to lose it again when he dropped dancevalley and then my ride had to go...so I tearfully agreed, as we walked towards KH for the coatcheck.
Afterthought: TAs please find it in your heart to forgive LKD. I promise if he gets outta line again I'll drop kick him into soberness for his own good.
Also: to those that give...ahem...gave the cold shoulder or attitude (u know who you are) I don't give a rats ass what ur hangups are but do urself a favour and leave it at home. Sad to see girls & guys with hangups.
Message to RobbyG:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOOD, YOU SO TOTALLY RAWK!

OH and BTW Comandrstraker is totally remorseful that he bailed on this event...LOL I'm getting pretty good with the guilt trips
Well...the night started off a little hectic. The plan was to meet up at my buddy Andrew's house for a little warm up around 8ish, for some "appetizers". We planned to leave Hamilton around 9 to avoid expected crazy lineups, since no advanced tix. But there was about 15 of us, so it was a mission to get everyone organized. (We all know each other through work, at Premier Fitness, and it was so much fun partying with all of you!!! We'll have lots to talk about on Monday, that's for sure!) By the time we left, it was 10:15, but we still managed to get in through the Drink farily quickly. (Thankx anyways for the guest list John, but my other buddy hooked us up nicely.) 4/15 out of the crew were celebrating birthdays, and we were all super hyped for what turned out to be an incredible night! My personal plan was to chill for a bit, and save my energy for Ferry, being the trance addict that I am so proud to be. Suprisingly, I found myself trapped in the Drink. Romero and Nunez dropped some funky shit, and I found myself just loving the vibe and people up there. My feet couldn't stop, which I found really strange as house isn't on the top of my list. I missed the first couple hours of Ferry's set, but was okay with that since it was soo rammed in there that I wouldn't have room to dance anyways. What I did catch was pretty impressive, and it was great to see everyone getting their asses kicked. I travelled back and forth from the Drink to Guv, and believe it or not, I didn't even make it to the KH all nite long
So, although my plans didn't really work out...and I didn't get to catch everyone's set that I wanted to... and I was looking forward to meeting up with all my fellow TA's, since I am new to the site... and we left at 7ish to go to the Crackhead Zone, I mean the Comfort Zone... and I missed the best part of Ferry's set from what you guys have posted...and I missed out on a ton of killer tracks throught the nite...amd I had to help a rookie out cuz her eyes started to roll back in her heard when she could manage to uncross them, cuz her friend didn't know how to help her, and just continued to trip her fucked up friend out cuz she was feakin...you would think that this would ruin the average partier's nite. However, I still came away from the party with a huge smile, lots of laughs, and I was glad I went. I ran in to so many people that I had not seen in a long time. Del, the one and only...nice to see you, it's been too long, sorry I din't get to chill with you longer, hope u had fun
Lot of non TA's, yet still can be classifed as TrancEaddicts...Ernesto, don't know how the hell I remembered your name, hadn't seen you since X-it days (remember all the crazy nights?) Jamir, love to meet people that are as passionate bout the music as I am! Bean, you showed me ropes about 6/7 years ago... are we ever gonna get sick of this? Suprised to see so many members from the gym, we should party more often. All my fellow partiers, tons o fun as always, and last but not least.. to my fellow co-workers, but more importantly, my friends, thanks for making the night so much fun. You guys really know how to get down, and represent Hamilton propa! Untill next time... Peace, Love and Beats

^^^^just look at NuEra's face in that picture. Pure fun!
Okay, wow, lets just start off by saying whut a freakin wicked night.
It started with me and Katy (MissK) leaving Collingwood a little latta then wed planned, around 2-2:30ish. We got back to her place in Aurora and got organized before heading down to York where we were all meeting at Ub3rTrancer (Alex)s for a potluck kinda dinner. Me and katy were like an hour late and showed up w/ the festivities in full effect already! Everyone was laughing and drinking and having a great time! Just an awesome and fun way to start off the night! Best pre-party session EVER
We all proceeded to get drunk (and me really drunk!!
) and I think we left in jays car by 10 or 1030 for guv. Some of us had guess list w/ John Tang, but when we got to the KH line, guesslist was freakin longer than the regular line and it was moving slower
So we ended up just getting in the regular line up and it moved pretty quick. Couldnt have been in line for more than 10 or 15 mins! And my god, I hafta say how nice it was to be in line and NOT freezing our asses off. That was a major plus. So nice.
Once inside, we were treated to some amazing beats and right away (somehow) we lost the whole group right away. LOL, how DOES that happen
hehe, but me and Jay (kkefka) and alex found eachother and were busting it out together. Right away I think I ran into starsearcher and then andielips (OMG... I havent run into you at the guv in so long, it was great to FINALLY see you again there! We caught up and it turns out shes engaged! CONGRATS girl!!) The continuity of the rest of my night in KH is a little blurry I know I got to meet Spankmeister (awesome man, youre a really cool guy). And all of a sudden Karen and Kelly were in full effect, lol. Found cale, then ran into b42k (good seeing you again girl!!) I remember busting it out on a podium w/ alex and jay and some guy (who I thought looked like karim but I said to myself I was mistaken since he said he wasnt coming out to the party) who waved to me and snapped a picture. Once id gotten down later, turns out it WAS karim and the trooper had fuckn headed up to TO party for a few hours (sorry that you regretted that man ive been in that situation before, make a decision bc u know its gonna be a crazy time, even tho u know u should have stayed at home and studied or whutever
). Pretty soon I was also partying w/ SurrJRS and chanoa (Andrea). Not sure when some of us decided to leave KH and head to guv, but when we arrived just before ferry, man was it ever packed! AND HOT!
honestly, it was like a wave of heat hitting you as you walked in but I loved it the heat is definitely my friend.
Ferry set was pretty good, but I must say I was enjoying his set from LOL in the fall a lot better at least until near the end when he just started pumping out the massive ch00ns!! Holy cow, he was going insane on the decks dropping killer tracks after killer tracks! Ferry did NOT let down that is for sure. This man it always blast to see and full deserves his rank as a demi-god in my books!!
By the end, my legs were starting to suffer, but I just ignored that and busted it non-stop. For a while there I was feeling sub-par and a whole wack of us headed out to the patio area to cool off and chill, which was just freakin nice sorry I missed those 2 girls just making out hard w/ eachother!
when was that guys?? Crap! Id have loved to see that
Ran into a this crazy fun and goodtimes girl named Kelly from New York who was out at Guv and I think partying at an EDM event for her first time!! She was flying and just LOVING EVERY minute of it. I hope I see you again at guv Kelly! You were so awesome. Had so much energy it was great. Glad ur first time was a memorable time!
Shout outs to the whole crew, Jason (kkefka), Lars (preppie chick), habibi Katy (MissK), Alex (Ub3rTrancer) who without which party would NOT be the same!! And to my very fucking favourite Australian girl Tessa. Babe, im gonna freakin miss you. Its so sad that this was ur last night in Canada and im prolly not gonna see u again for a long time!!
Tessa, you rock girl and you know I luv ya! Youve made a million new close friends here in Toront and well always remember and think fondly of you. I dont thin I could ever forget howyoure just one of the most amazing ppl ever!
Shoutouts to all the other TAs that I just LOVE partying with and ran into: Karen, Kelly, Andrea (no words to say how much fun you three are to dance with!!!), Cale (you're a blast dude, but dude, where was the double fisting action, LOL), Cuzo (man, you always have the energy I wish I had you just never stop! Truly and honour to party with you man! Great times and cant wait till the summer cottage it up baby!
) SurrJRS, cono_sur, RJ, Marg, Grahm (The Highroller), Nat, starsearcher, b42k, DJ Celica, feems (OMG, you fuckn own ass girl, you are sooooooooooo much fun!!! So glad I got to finally meet you loved busting it out up in the drink w/ ya), Pettiscool (man, youre right, that track is a oldie but a goldie
), shanny (Josh, you are da man everytime I saw you you were just ripping it thats whut I like to see non-stop dancing
), durafei, playa24, Tordan (awesome dude, always love partying w/ you), Karim (you rock man, always a pleaure dancing up a storm w/ you, glad u came for the time u did a party just aint complete until Karims made an appearance now, lol) mindspin and all your other Hamilton friends that you introduced me to (again) whose names I forget; emery, Fey (Youre awesome man, so glad I ended up meeting you, we had nothing but good times and I cant wait to party as Wasaga or WEMF either), Ray (dude, youre a down to earth just chill person, and am very glad I got to meet you this time around. Thanks for showing me where the sweet spor to score really cold cool water is! Much better than the guv!!) Shit I know im prolly forgetting some ppl and im sorry. There are just so many to name! To all those I forgot but partied with, cheers!
Oh, and not to forgot to comment on how the whole night ended, at Ray and Margs. Already said, but it can/should be said again. They are just really awesome hosts. Having some of us back at their place for chill times afterward was wicked. Their place was so nice and with everyone there was just such a great atmosphere! Finally meeting Irish Gram and the other irish crew was wicked! (the accents totally took me back to the days of my trip over there years ago!) Finally, more than a big thank you goes out to Andrea for offering at the last minute to drive my butt back home when we were all chilling out at Ray and Margs. She lives in Burlighton and she was willing to go all the way up to Collingwood (which really helped out MissK too who was gonna take me back but had an exam to write on Monday so..) Andrea, you are one solid girl and a crazy dancer (heheheheh, sorry I didnt have any water so you could un-sticky the floor it WAS really bad near the end, my feet kept sticking!) All of our adventures driving around in ur car on Sunday were wicked! So much fun on such a nice day!
Man, thats long enough.. my mind is still disjoint and im trying to slowly return to reality. LOL.
Cheers everyone. Cant wait to break it all out again at the next one hmm hopefully thatll be sooner than later
~Jem~
EDIT:
Forgot to mention, when Ferry dropped Adagio for Strings I just went BOONKERS!
Him dropping that song completed a night that i thought was complete already! WOW!!! Energy i hadnt had 2 mins before came outta no where and i was dancing as hard as ever all of a sudden to one of my favourite ch00ns!!! Truly memories were made and good times were had that ill never forget!

Ferry Who?
There was no need to leave the KH at all saturday night, well maybe to get earplugs
Luke Chable - well only caught a bit of his set heard some alright tracks but nothing mind blowing. Not sure if he was maybe holding back and just warming up for dave seaman? 7.0/10
Dave Seaman - Well This was the first time I have every seen him and everyone was saying that he is really hit or miss. Saturday night he was a hit, dropping the dirtiest basslines I was speachless one track in particular "2Raumwohnung & Moguai - Sasha (Sex Secret)" fuck me!! He had me dancing my ass off great set and programming 9.5/10
Grayarea - Well they did not fail to impress once again great crowd interaction!! When you usually have just dj's behind the decks then all of a sudden these guys come on and just go off!! (singer getting down into the crowd and moshing and shit) add's a whole new flavor to the night!! They played a lot of new productions! For some reason though the sound was a bit off, hard to hear the vocals on some tracks but great none the less 9/10
Josh Gabriel - Well what can I say They need to call that shit "Josh Gabriels wild ride" cause he was amazing!! Bomb after bomb and eveyone was loving it! Now I'm not to sure if it was due to the laptop/power convertor he was running but the mids and highs laid an audio assult on my hearing well regardless josh could come down to the dance floor and cut my ear clean off (reservoir dogs style) and I wouldn't have moved sound issues aside his set was solid and the track selection top notch (of course) 10/10
Brad Copeland - Now I have heard some of his stuff before but it wasn't even close to some of the dirty tracks he dropped sunday night!! He took the grove from josh and keep it going till the lights came on!! solid next time I Rather catch one of his sets earlier in the night cause I was pooched 8.5/10
In the end it was a sick sick party and I got to enjoy it with my good friend Dinger for his b-day (dinger just in case you were wondering... your keyboard is not a pillow, lol) which made it even better! Well I'm off to catch some rays and enjoy the outdoors!
Once again... Ferry Who?
Very Happy about US7
Got there by 11:30 with Fayraree.... Addy was spinning...this is the first time I had heard him and he wasnt bad at all. LUKE C needed more than 1 hour to get his groove going unfortunately they had him for an hour. Then Ma Main Man, Dave Seaman came on. He KILLED it! love the set...but then I had to go check out Ferry C, who was so amazing! I would also agree that he is one of the hardest working DJs out there.
Honestly this would one of the wildest nights I have had. Met many TAs. Fahad! your one wild MOFO! all the new TAs I met including Tordan & Vertigo and all it was great meeting you guys... Until Danny T,

I dunno about anyone else, but my general body has never been in more pain after a night out at guv.
i dont even get the usual sore back or sore legs most ppl will often talk of.
but by the end of the night, my legs definately feeling heavy, but that was easy enough to ignore. then we all piled into andreas care and were sitting down for 30 odd minutes (got lost, LOOOOOOL
)
walking up the stairs to the appartment was damn near impossible, lol. but that evenutally passed for some reason... i was still dancing at Ray and Margs
but then this morning, OH MY GOD... did someone cut my calves open and sew them back together while i was sleeping?
i have NEVER found walking more difficult... trying to walk to work, i was limping for the first 15 mins until i got used to it and i guess my muscles got stretched. even my lower back is tender if i move around. and my stomach, lol, blowing my noze hurts it!
oh gawd am i ever sore... lovin' every minute of it tho bc, heheh, whut an attestment to how amazing that party was! i guess i was dancing harder than i thought.
anyone else find that they are in alot of pain today... hopeuflly none of you would say its not worth it tho.
i for one, would still go back there tonite and do it all over again...
-jem-
come on now ...
well let me say I've seen him enough times now that its all the same, thats just ME though! Personally I think the KH killed the gov saturday night by far
and I know I'm not the only one that never ventured into the gov
