| Originally posted by DjCommisad i'm a bit disappointed. I'm not saying TAs should get special premiums or special priveleges, but we waited for the post to say when tickets were going to be available, we were told to wait and not harass the locations, and then we find out days after they are sold out, that they're sold out, and anything left will be twice what we were told the starting price would be |
btw, totally down with your plan too
and one more thing.... sorry, but it pisses me off that one, if not more, of Greg's tracks are on PVD's playlist and the guys still gotta pay to get in. Where's the respect?

You guys talk as though TA's should be getting red carpet.
They were on sale on Clubvibes for almost 3 weeks.
and to the best of my knowledge, Clubvibes had about 400 tickets if not more.
last night around 10 pm..

TA's have always been known to be one of the elitest when it comes to trance and our knowledge about it, and it should be about time that the WESTERN CANADA forums start getting recognized for our contribution |

i was reading thru fnk today and someone there raised a good point about trusting clubvibes with your credit card info. i got scammed couple of months ago, my suspicion is audiojelly, but im not sure how whoever got my master card number. anyways, i wouldnt trust clubvibes. i was waiting for tickets to hit the stores and get one there.
as for TAs getting special treatment, i agree, but it would only make sense if TAs were organizing an event. if its someone who has no affiliation to us, why would they care about us? when there will be 100 van TA members, it'd make sense, but at the moment, we do not make up the bulk of the party goers, all we are are a dozen or so of know-it-all arrogant punks
well u r right with the credit card thing

I think what people failed to grasp is the fact that this is a PLUSH and twisted show.
Hence I will put PLUSH in front of twisted.

Holy sheat lots of activity in this thread since I last posted.
My apologies for not looking here daily as the combination of working full time during the day and then Twisted stuff on top of that keeps me busy.
Let me first highlight a few things:
1.) This show is both a Plush AND Twisted show from DAY ONE I have said that in all of my posts and in all cases, put Plush BEFORE Twisted in the billings. Having said that, Twisted just one promoter involved in ultimately selling tickets and promoting the show. So what does that mean, well it means Plush had COMPLETE control of the number of tickets released. In fact, the delay in releasing tickets out to Vancouver stores was Plushs in getting these tickets printed NOT TWISTEDs. To further, we dont even have control over ticket pricing, sound and even lighting of this show. Twisted is simply assisting with the promotion of this PvD show.
2.) 400 pre-sale tickets were released to Clubvibes. This literally sold out in a weeks time. After that point, 50 tickets were then released to each store all of which un-predictably sold out in record time. Why? Although Twisted had asked for there to be a limit to the amount of tickets sold to each person, it is difficult for the stores to police this. As a result, the tickets in stores were purchased in bulk very quickly. This was further amplified by the fact PvD himself hasnt been here in ages and people are extremely excited to see him.
3.) Learn to trust systems like Clubvibes. The reality is they are a legal, registered company with fiscal, financial and moral responsibilities to the public. If in anyway you are ripped off, you can report this activity to your credit card company and even the Better Business Bureau. Please do not bitch at us, if in your mind, you dont trust Clubvibes.com as they were an exclusive ticket partner for this show Again, Plush choose them to be this partner, not Twisted. Clubvibes is a business entity and is not just a bunch of punks running a PC in a garage. They are a legitimate business.
To those who were unable to get tickets due to the delay in getting them to stores, our apologies as again, that was beyond our control.
To all those that purchased tickets early, thank-you very much for your support and thanks for your continued support of Twisted and Twisted-related events.
dunno is this is true or not but clubvibes said they might have some more tix next week...so be sure to check clubvibes regularly!! If my 2 friends cannot make it back to Vancouver in time I might have 2 xtra tix...I pay $42.80 for each and I will sell it for the same price and a shot of tequila when I am inside kekeke!!

That's funny how you consider yourself such a big part of the Vancouver 'trance' community. I recall seeing you at Viva once in 3+ years, near the very tail end of things to be exact. Never have you shown support to my night or any of the local trance djs in this city. Come out for all the big names, you deserve a medal! By all means, keep up the great work ![]() How does your so called knowledge of music give you any more right to be at a party that anyone else? Again, please enlighten me as to why you think you're so fucking special. Recognized for what? I can apreciate that your upset you don't have a ticket, but stop acting like a CHILD. I'm sure they'll be an explanation as to why Kraig forgot to make a post on TA, he's very busy with his job and personal life, and it was probably an honest mistake that he forgot to post the info here. I'm sure he'll do his best to make things up to the TA's and explain things when he comes on this forum. |
this is turning into a flamming thread heh
firstly, my appologies to kraig and twisted for not getting my facts straight. in my defense, people in this city are conditioned to know and thing that the promoter is behind every aspect of an event (including previous incidents of overselling a party and faking tickets. i'm not pointing fingers at anyone, we all know a number of promoters in vancouver have done this in the past
)
as for commodore holding more people than plush, i believe both of their legal capacities are 1000 people.
i'm not saying i dont entirely trust clubvibes or clubzone but between them and me there's lots of other places information goes thru. audiojelly is a respected company, yet after buying some stuff from them i had some pretty weird charges on my card made in brazil. like naz said, even tho things may look secure, there's a chance they arent
Commodore holds 1200 I think
at the entrance there's a sign that says capacity: 999
there could be some loopholes around that of course
