Maybe the song isn't "underground sounding" enough for you, but guess what, maybe Tiesto is smart enough to target the "majority" of dance music listeners and make songs that appeal to them....So, just because you and your friends don't think a song is good, doesn't make it a BAD song. Majority wins on everything...I never heard about the few winning over the many |

And he's not targeting the "majority of dance music listeners," he's only targeting the small fraction of EDM fans that listen to Trance. There is so much more to EDM than Trance. And yes, it does make it a bad song; you can't tell people that it's good simply because they like it and the masses don't. |

Tiesto sucks to a hell of a lot of people, a lot hate him because he sucks and a lot hate him because it's cool too, end of story now quit making excuses, opinion is opinion.

| Originally posted by Blue. I'm such a horrible DJ that I should be making millions of dollars like Tiesto is, hit the nail on the head. |
it has come to my attention that clearly most people dont know the difference between beat-matching and mixing
two tracks which are at the exact same bpm could still sound awful mixed 2gether, even without "trainwrecking" (which could also occur at the same bpm)
im sorry if this has been said b4, but 4give me for not reading a 900 page thread, probably full of bull

You try writting an original Trance song and post it here in the forums and lets compare and contrast. Just because not all of his sets are perfect does not make him a crappy dj. How about the tons of sets that are perfect? What about those Dj sets? And maybe you think he doesn't deserve to be #1 ?? Is that it?? Well, why don't you look back and see what has made him #1 He is smarter than you think and he knows who is "target" audience is, and his sets and music reflects this. |
i didnt really wanna get into this one but now i am. I remember him in 2000 no one could touch but now i think he can mix pretty goood. Everyone has their share of trainwrecks but overall hes a good dj. I gotta give him that plus his live mix at energy 2000 was the fuken shit. Thats what i remeber about trance

Weak argument number 1 - let's see you do better Never said I could, by that logic the only way you can voice a negative opinion that is taken seriously is if you've done better. Weak argument number 2 - you havn't heard all his sets I've heard a lot of them and almost all of them sucked. Don't assume that because I don't like him it's because I havn't heard track X or listened to set X. Smart and talented are two very different things. You're right about him being smart though considering he's nothing but an overrated DJ. |
I think Tiesto and P. Diddy should team up together. The combined power of their marketing would rule the world!

I laugh at you if you pay 15 to get into a club 3 for each drink and then all you do is analyse the dj and his performance.
if you do that i am not sorry as you are a complete ****.

It takes opposition to make something different, but you still got to respect what the difference is opposeing off of, and bottom line, there are tons of live sets out there that Tiesto has mixed perfectly, but of course you are never going to hear about those sets because it is expected...people like you just take that shit for granted. BTW, Are you a Transexual? |
I guess you're running out of steam.
