EvilTree was actually one of my friend's bro's online nick. Guy is seriously weird. So I'm like, how can trees be evil? They are so... placid.

So I nicked it because it was way cooler than Bedpan Elemental which was my other online nick for a while. (long story)

Posted by iLiptikalOrbitZ on Nov-21-2005 17:32:

well, first off it should have a space in it (iLiptikal OrbitZ) but it wouldn't fit, so i took out the space.

OrbitZ started this summer when I first cut my hair into a HUGE mohawk, and then on a dare shaved it down so that it was like a sidewalk, but had more curve to it. Over the summer it got progressivly more and more curved, and one of my good friends (now my roomate) named it "the orbit". After that he started to call me Orbits.

Since I wanted something more that just Orbitz i added the iLiptikal part. This is in reference to the way planets orbit in our solar system (elliptical orbits). the reason it's spelled with a lower case 'i' first and then a capital, is a play on the iPod phenominon. Seems like lately a lot of stuff has that 'i' at the beginning. Just thought it sounded good, so I kept it. I also use this as my DJ name, and in Counterstrike.

Big D, Killer and 3D are all nicknames whose origins shall remain unrevealed to this forum.

As for DMP, I used to spin hip hop back in the mid-90s and it stemmed from that, because I always had the latest greatest and newest, and everyone always came to me for the goods. aka Digital Masterpiece...it was kinda catchy, but grew old after a while

Now it's just Digital, because my life probably couldn't exist without all of its technological relevance. Pretty sad, but I love it.

VOODOOCHILD

The song resonates with too many things in my life, like it was written for me lol. and funny fact? It was written the year I was born - coincidence! I think not.

Lyrics for: Voodoo Child ( Jimi Hendricks)

WELL, I STAND UP NEXT TO A MOUNTAIN
AND I CHOP IT DOWN WITH THE EDGE OF MY HAND
YEAH
WELL, I STAND UP NEXT TO A MOUNTAIN
AND I CHOP IT DOWN WITH THE EDGE OF MY HAND
WELL, I PICK UP ALL THE PIECES AND MAKE AN ISLAND
MIGHT EVEN RAISE A LITTLE SAND
YEAH

CAUSE I'M A VOODOO CHILD
LORD KNOWS I'M A VOODOO CHILD BABY

I WANT TO SAY ONE MORE LAST THING

I DIDN'T MEAN TO TAKE UP ALL YOUR SWEET TIME
I'LL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK TO YA ONE OF THESE DAYS
HAHAHA

I SAID I DIDN'T MEAN TO TAKE UP ALL YOUR SWEET TIME
I'LL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK ONE OF THESE DAYS
OH YEAH

IF I DON'T MEET YOU NO MORE IN THIS WORLD THEN UH
I'LL MEET YA ON THE NEXT ONE
AND DON'T BE LATE
DON'T BE LATE

CAUSE I'M A VOODOO CHILD VOODOO CHILD
LORD KNOWS I'M A VOODOO CHILD
HEY HEY HEY

I'M A VOODOO CHILD BABY

I DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER

QUESTION NO
YEAH

Mine evolved from "Abel" (my last name & nickname in high school) and then when I got to college to play softball, we had 3 Kristin's on team. The other two quickly got nicknames but my coach didn't like "Abel" and it never stuck there.

One night, we were playing cards and they wrote down K. Clark, K. Abel, etc. to keep track of points. One of the coaches was like, "That's it! Kabel!". And it stuck - big time. From that moment on EVERYONE knew me as Kabel - my professors, the president of the college, EVERYONE. People used to think it was my real name - Kabel Abel - and would congrat me on having such parents with funky naming skills.

Needless to say, I was a little butch back in college (you wouldn't recognize me then) and my dear friend Sarah used to tease me by saying "Aw, you're just so Kabelicious, no matter how hard you try". It was a private nickname for me and, when I moved back to Detroit and had to come up with a name for DCS, I picked Kabelicious rather than Kabel (figured I could use a new identity for the next few years of my life).

So, if you ever call me Kabes or Kabel (which people at all work places tend to do), I will answer. Hearing people call me "Kris" or "Kristin" still trips me out to this day.

Kris aka Kabel

funny... I assumed it had to do with being a slut in university res or something to that nature.

When i came home from univeristy in my second year I told my friends I had bought some turntables and I was going to learn how to DJ. One of them responded "Ok there science boy" (due to my enrollment in engineering physics) and the name just stuck.

I later met Jakub who assumed the role of Reason and Science and Reason were born forever!

I know its not as glamourous as some origin stories. I mean getting bit by a radio active spider is pretty cool.

Been called Pasta since grade 5. The beginning of my last name, although spelled differently, is pronounced "pasta..." with a Canadian accent, "post-a..." with an Italian accent.
