I'll be up north closing down the family cottage on the 8th so IM is a no go. NOTICE, I WILL BE DOING THIS WHILE MY NO GOOD LAZY ASS BROTHER IS SITTING AT HOME GETTING READY TO GO TO PART 1! I look forward to meeting up with ya at part 2.

hmm, as much as I'd love to come to this, methings I'll avoid the sardine can this time. It's practically a guarantee that the place will be packed solid.

So? I swear, this 'it's too packed' excuse is getting lamer and lamer. At what musical performance isn't it too packed? At concerts, it's even more packed than that, and people show up in thousands nevertheless. It's packed all the time and it's been that way since forever, so might as well get used to it. You're never gonna get Armin to spin just for you and your close group of friends.

So people aren't allowed to refuse to go because they don't like the fact that it's packed?

I'm actually considering not partying on this night and waking up early to go to the Zone. I don't really want to deal with the crowd either. Anyone up for this?

That is a VERY good consideration.

Great idea!

wtf? I never said 'you're not allowed'. You can do whatever the fuck you want to. I was just expressing my opinion that complaining about the crowds before and after every event is getting tiring.

Smuncky, stop breaking my balls man, it was just an example. :P

And I will be thinking of you when I am dancing up a storm

I hope ferry lays down some good ol' fashioned high quality trance... I was away all summer and missed Tiesto, Above&Beyond, and LoL, and couldn't go to oakenfold...

I think it would onyl be fitting to balance out the rest of the music genres likely to be played that night...

So who the fuck said that the only good musical performances were by big-name DJ's. If you've only based your opinions on the few big nights you've been, then stfu. It's not packed all the time. There are nights of greater and lesser crowds. And I only posted to voice my opinions. If you don't mind the crowds, go nuts.
BTW, gf saw Armin spin at a small club in Ottawa for 500 people. I saw him this March at Whiskey nightclub in Calgary, and it wasn't packed. So keep your uninformed opinions to yourself, or get a more mannered approach to voicing them.

I never said "only" either. But statistically speaking, big names will deliver more often, which is why they're big names in the first place.

And no, I don't mind the crowds.

Once again, it was just a quick name off the top of my head. (P.S. That 500-people party, no way was that a public event?)

Mannered approach? I didn't swear at you, didn't personally insult you, and my most un-mannered word was 'lame'. All things considered, that was pretty damn mannered.

Posted by zokissima on Sep-22-2005 22:42:

k, nuff said. maybe I came down too hard, I apologise, I can see that you meant no offense.
Yeah, the 500 crowd was a public event. Dunno if it was that little, but no more than 1000, but even that sounds like way too much. I have a few pics if you want to see, just gotta dig them up from the bowels of the subfolder structure

I dunno, I can usually forget the crowds, but I guess the last few times I went, it was just packed solid, and I kinda miss having the space to actually dance.

Posted by dsab on Sep-22-2005 22:46:

Ferry Corsten that night with the track "ROCK YOUR BODY, ROCK".... I be dancin' my ass off to that song.

hehe, no problem. Much love.

and yes, it sucks not having any space to dance, which is why I usually make up for it by either moving a bit farther away from the 'front', or having a bunch of friends around me so we can space ourselves out.

Damn, I didn't realize that Ramadan (Islamic calendar month where Muslims will be fasting dawn-dusk everyday and attempt to revitalize their connection to God and their religion) will have started by this event...

...so unfortunately I will have to opt out *yet again*. Yeesh I'm beginning to be pretty lame.

Sorry people. Now if you could just help me "off" my $37 ticket I would really appreciate it. PM or email me: [email protected].

Thank you!
(come again! )

L'il G what do you mean you might not come to this... Who cares about the crowd, just surround yourself by all your friends.

No Graham makes for an unhappy me....

I really want to try something different though. It seems like Guv is the only place I go anymore.

Timo Maas & Lee Burridge in 1 room?!?! This should be a kickass party in the KH than. TM & Lee are similar in taste, which is, banging tekish-electro I wasn't planning on attending this party at all but now it looks very interesting.
