As it is, coup & neo are run off their feet trying to moderate the forum (And it does need moderation, everyone knows that,and a lot of people probably know they're pushing things too far) and just telling them to fuck off is as lame a point as anything, it doesn't solve a thing.

I think I've been alright for a n00b. Though I have had my moments. Ehh, most n00bs don't even post in the c0r. They post random shit threads in MD with stupid questions concerning how someone can tell what trance is. They can't seem to figure things out on their own like most people.

as for your first point, you're forgetting i've read this forum long before i've joined.
and what i said about control is very far from what you interpreted from it. the form of conrol you do have as a member on a forum is adding content, that's basically all of it, and it's a lot.

you (general you, not ian specifically) just have to accept the fact that the forum is what it is, reminiscing won't bring the old ways back, and frankly, nothing will.
you can only drive things forward, which translates into a few options:
1. stay and contribute worthless criticisms, AKA bitch (nearly no effect)
2. stay and contribute content on the same level that exists, actively supporting the current state of the forum to remain as it is
3. stay and contribute better content, effectively steering the forum in the direction you want to

or alternatively... you can leave.

or go to sleep, wake up & realise it was all a dream and it's still early 2002, and take the knowledge forwards to make sure the people you find annoying never join and save trance while you're at it from the direction it's gone in now. checkmate
