#2 is the Netherlands a team that didnt make WC 02 cuz if you go by the rankings the previous WC winner doesnt move from 1st...Brazil...oh and the USA is higher than the following: Spain, Portugal, Sweden, England, Turkey, Italy and good old Germany.

Speaking of Ze Germans, they really suck...won 1-0 against China or some shit yesteday but over the weekend lost to Turkey...they will crash out of the WC if this keeps up

I think that Germany will play alot better in the World Cup than they've done so far in the friendly's.

allright Prediction time
Spain
Czech
Swiz Cheese
Uruguay (itll be close though )
Bahrain vs Trinidad never seen Bahrain so Trinidad it is

Posted by zoric on Oct-15-2005 15:46:

It's sooo unfair that Bahrain got through against Uzbekistan and I certainly hope that Trindidad wins with a lot of goals when they're playing at home. Bahrain is known for playing very well at home, But when they're playing as guest in other countries, They actually get a lot of problems and so far they've had the luck with them, But honestly, Uzbekistan should've won with at least 3 goals..

Anyways, It does not really matter who will win this battle in their respective countries. It would still be very huge in both countries to take you're national team to the World Cup in Germany for the first time ever.

I think that Uruguay is way better than Australia, They showed it in the Confederations Cup this summer, But I hope it'll be a very close and interesting match.

Turks
Uruguay
who cares either team is this years Saudi Arabia

Spain
Czechs
Turkey
Bahrain vs T&T... Well, you know your national team is hurting when Dwight Yorke is still playing for you. Stern John is a bit of dark horse though. Plays for Coventry but got some talent.
I'd say T&T
Would love to see Australia in the tourney, but against Uruguay, nope. Well, depends on whether John Aloisi does well as he did in Confed Cup and players like Viduka and Kewell get their act together. Aussie squad on paper is pretty darn decent.

I do hope that Trindidad & Tobago qualifyies..

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Oct-16-2005 18:17:

reason I think Australia will come close or even win is , well I know coaches usually dont make much of a difference but having Guus Hiddink in there automatically makes this team even better. I saw their potential in the confed, they just need help on defence and with that tthey could handle Uruguay

I did not really know that Guus is the headcoach for Australia, That's a manager that I really like

I also didn't know this.

Gus Hiddink is a genius.

Their previous coach wasn't bad, I don't think it will make that much of a difference to be honest. The only thing that will seperate these teams is Uruguay's individual talent when it matters. Australia don't have a Recoba nor a Forlan to give them a moment of authentic brilliance when it matters. I saw both the games 4 years ago and really they are technically even.

But hey, knowing international soccer today who knows?

Who else would have helped South Corea to go that far in WC at home back in 2002. PSV Eindhoven would probably not have gone that far in the CL either last year.

Definetly a very good player

Ok, You're partly right and sure, Joaquin had the ball on the field when he crossed the ball. Spain should have won

Anyways, What I wanted to say was that Guus Hiddink is a stunning coach

Posted by InterMilan31 on Oct-18-2005 04:31:

The Aussies are a bit overrated.

Viduka - Hes done no more brillance from him
Kewell - Should be playing at West Brom or some shit not L'pool
Cahill - Pretty good but not repeating last years form

Who else am I forgetting.

I know 1 player Carl Valeri who started last year for them and he was an Inter U-20 player....Uruguay should crush them. Forland is excellent, Recoba has been on form as of late and can be absoulutely brilliant at times, Zalayeta is a good finisher if he can get the ball, they got a great team....

3-0 first leg
1-1 seconed leg

With Czech Republic, Romania, Finland and Macedonia? Dude, we were the ones with an incredibly easy group: Slovakia, the weakest Russia team in ages and a very disapointing Latvia were the only slightly decent teams.

People are way overrating Holland at the moment.

Oh, and Czech Republic aren't what they used to be.

I've seen almost every qualifier and I've got to say that Holland had really much luck against especially the Czech's. Czech Republic do suck atm, It's not because of how they play, It's all about the goalscoring.

They had many many chances against Holland and Romania without scoring a goal. If Nedved is going to play for the Czech's, Then I'll have to say that they will probably get through, And no, He's not at all close to be in the form that he was 2 seasons ago.

Posted by noikeee on Oct-19-2005 21:08:

Ok, i must admit i haven't seen a full Holland match since.. the Euro. I was judging the team from the results, which were good, but I'm sure you guys know better the state of your team

Still the Czech's tried to score goals and really had chances in the last game. But it's completely their own fault
