It's the cheesiest stuff that doesnt quite fit into the total cheese genre (IvD, Lasgo, etc), simply because there are some cosmic gate remixes I like.

But the vox and the main melody are cheddariffic

Man With No Name - Teleport

I suppose that about does it for me...

Paul Van Dyk - Words
I feel it truly gets you into a state of "trance" as opposed to the rest.

Man, you guys have BRILLIANT taste in music! Can't fault anyone's choices. You gotta love the trance communtity! Anyway, it's a tough choice, but I gotta go with "Luvstruck" by Southside Spinners. Other worthy mentions include, PVD's "For An Angel", Tiesto's storming mix of Delerium's "Silence", Gouryella's mix of Binary Finary's "1998". I could go on & on, "Love Stimulation", "10 in 01", "Flesh", "Tenshi"
HELP, I can't stop!!!

To add to that Technique - Sun is Shining

For me, personally, when I heard ATB's 9pm Till I come, which in comparison to what I listen to now, is not very good. I realized that there is some seriously good shit out there that I had not even heard. Then I heard some George Acosta mixes and was a 'tranceaddict' right away.

Lots of good picks in this thread.

When I think of tracks that define trance, for me, two pop in my mind immediately.

Max Graham - Airtight
The Green Martian - Industry

Personally i would find it hard to use one track alone to define trance music or to clame the biggest influence. A few classics that get a mention IMO

Delerium - Silence / Veracocha - Carte Blanche / Solarstone - Seven Cities / System F - Cry / PVD - For An Angel.

All good examples of big influences and they do define Uplifting Trance.

But a special mention has to go to ........

........Sasha - Xpander

the production for its time ....... unmatched imo

some others:

capetown - cinema
accadia - into the dawn (james holden mix)
Dawnseekers - Gothic Dream (John Johnson Remix)
Joker Jam - Innocence (Paul Van Dyk Remix)
joker jam - traffic (van bellen remix)
kansai - roccoco
mekka - diamondback
z2 - i want you
Trance Allstars - The first rebirth (Talla 2xlc club mix)
Tantrix - Tastexperience
...

Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia ( Paul Van Dyk's Dark Dub )
Paul Van Dyk - Another Way [ I can't believe it's mentioned for the first time on page 15 ]
Infernal Machine - Realistic
Tiesto - Suburban Train
Vengaboys - Kiss ( Airscape mix )
Airscape - Sosei
Afterburn - Northpole
Nu-Nrg - Freefall [ !!! ]
Humate - Love Stimulation ( PvD mix )
Jam & Spoon - Be Angeled ( PvD mix )
Jose Amnesia - Eternal [ !x3]

I listen mostly to epic trance... imho no vocal can define trance.
