It's getting a bit boring lately, every techno thread there is either ends up being spammed by people that think Preach is the best techno has to offer, or ends up in some pointless discussion about subsubsubgenres under the influence of Ory lookalikes.

Another attempt at making this somewhat more interesting:

www.danzolectro.de

Some quality livesets to be found there, ranging from minimal, deep to more melodic techno / tech-house, whatever you people want to call it.

Agreed.

Your statement is ludicrous for 2 reasons. Firstly, you haven't the slightest idea about my 'access' to the knowledge of acid I possess and so it is already lacking a sound basis. But surely you wouldn't know any better. Second, I get the 'crap of the past.' No, sir, you're the one getting the 'crap' like Hardfloor, while I get stuff you will never hear in your lifetime on account of your very limited knowledge regarding acid.

woo, trolling is so much fun

and you know me oh so well, after all - you've seen a tracklist to a set i've made! hell, you prolly know more about me than myself!

later alpha

Unfortunately, no I think you might of already heard it. I posted it in a thread a long time ago, in regards to questions of the acid genre. I'm almost positive you were in it.

Posted by Staedtler on Nov-05-2005 21:32:

is everything all better now? can we all start an acid friends alliance and...wait..

no, you're the one initially stating that you guarantee that you've heard more than i have, which i'm quite convinced you haven't. ; )

it is impossible for either of you, or anyone else for that matter, to know which of you two has heard the most acid. the end.

the biggest, hardest, slimiest, most throbbing word i used there was 'impossible', and i'm sure you know the meaning of that one. it's like a 3 on your scale, which has a max of 20 for words like ecclesiastically and anthropomorphize!.

OK, I got your PM, and no, I don't need to search them on discogs not only since I know every artist on it, but as I also have a few of the vinyls you seem to, also some of which I have on my wantlist. So no, you certainly haven't heard more acid than I have. Don't be misled.

i wasnt accusing you, i was expecting an accusal from your end.

it's a good thing we're both convinced of completely immesurable claims.

we got ourselves a modern day humphrey bogart here.

I don't have the smallest clue when it comes to debating acid/tech (sub-)genres, so can't take nobody's side but fuck.. some people in this thread really lack attitude.

Actually, this is the point I favor most. I get to read both viewpoints and notice that it doesn't resort to cheap shot name calling or end in burnt, crispy flames, but rather debate. Now all it needs is some examples of tracks and dates to further educate all of us

Both in reaction to the same post I've made. There's two of you?

I agree it's nice to read about the knowledge and opinions of people that know more than yourself about a certain field of interest, but the Internet penis-level in this thread is a bit too high for me. And I don't even really like acid either

Back to listening tracks I do enjoy then.

Ta member ''dcctnycprincess'' shared this Ricardo Vilalobos set with us which made me think that we need a ''techno'' corner here.
Since there are a lot of members who like this sound we can have a thread to review compilations, singles, share promotional sets and stay updated on all things techno.
Are you still down for a techno only thread?

Posted by basd on May-14-2006 11:56:

Most definitely.
