and NOOOO way the texans steal the division from Indy! Noooo way. Don't forget Indy did almost go 16-0 last season, and lost in the playoffs to the superbowl champs on a last second miracle tackle by Roethlisberger. Rhodes has always filled in for edge without them missing a beat, and I believe he will have a solid year.

I don't think Indy will be as good, thats almost impossible, but if they lose to anybody in that division it'll be the jags. Houston simply can't match talent for talent.

Indy lost some key defensive players along the d-line and at linebacker...Rhodes and Mungro aren't game breakers like James and i think people won't respect Mannings playfakes as much without James

Jaguars, even Colts.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-05-2006 12:31:

i am not going to take away anything from the jaguars, because they really have a top 5 defense. however, they have some issues in the offense. for one thing, they need to find an heir to take jimmy smith's throne as their #1 receiver, because he is getting up there with age and he can't beat double teams at almost 40. only god can do that, and that's jerry rice. .

another concern is finding a solid reserve to cover fred taylor's butt, because that guy is always getting injured. greg jones looks like a real up and coming guy, so that's a plus for the jaguars amd ernest wilford looks good, but not a guy to take away the weight from jimmy smith. i think the jaguars offense suffered ever since keenan mccardell left the jaguars.

ok.

A good point I just read in SI:

quote:
I also wonder how Terrell Owens can be widely ripped for demanding a bigger contract one year after he helped the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl while Culpepper can face scant criticism for demanding a bigger contract after the worst season of his career.

I also hear that he quit the Vikings by email.

Dolphins 5!!!

no friggen way, I love the Daunte move... but no way should they be 5... yeah great D... but they're more like 10... after the Boys and before the Eagles...

afterall... its the DOLPHINS... they haven't done shit in years... and once Daunte goes down for the season with some stupid injury... they'll be right back to a killer defense that can't score...

keep dreaming patriot boy...... you're lucky he ranked them below new england

Posted by Spartan on Apr-05-2006 21:13:

I agree w/ Ecnal I don't agree to that list.

Dolphins should not be at 5, Jags should not be at 6. And how do you have ATL ranked worse than Baltimore and Arizona?!

good to see the NFC East all in the top 15 though even though I don't agree with the order at all.

The top 12 make the playoffs, so this has Miami, Philly, and the Cowboys stealing playoff spots from the Redskins, Chicago, and Cinncinati.

No way Jos

bigger 2004 fall ?
maurice clarett or mike williams ? .

yeah maurice won the national championship, and mike williams was labeled the best wide receiver out there, because of his height and speed ...

i don't know .
but im sure everyone is going to say maurice, since he didn't make the cut.

Who cares about the Power Ranks in April? Let's play, and then, make conclusions.

it's just something fun to do to pass the time UNTIL they play.

also, not really something to be taken seriously.

srsly.

really i love these early polls, because the teams that are ranked lower have chances to prove they are better, and shut up the experts.

Posted by Spartan on Apr-07-2006 03:42:

haha if the reporters weren't coming out with bogus reports like this and such I'd drive myself crazy w/o any football info to read.

luckily I have you guys to chew the fat w/ until opening day.

by teh way any Lavar Arrington updates? I still hear cincy, and the giants, and less about Maimi these days.

sounds like the guy is really trying to squeeze a little too much $$$ out of teams if you ask me. brees tried doing it to miami as well, but they didnt bite.

off season poll!

Posted by Spartan on Apr-08-2006 05:24:

haha, 1% of people think the Jets will win their division.

and I can't wait for that Eagles-Dallas game either.

Williams' NFL future on the line in Monday hearing

Posted by Spartan on Apr-10-2006 23:05:

who is more responsible for the Greatest Show On Turf??

was it Mike Martz or Al Saunders?

Al Saunders was the offensive coordinator for the KC Chiefs the last few years, and before that was on the Rams with Martz during their prime.

I'm curious as to what ya'll think, cause guess who the deep pocket Redskins have as their new offensive coordinator?

Peerless price signs with the Bills, think he should have done that about 3 years ago..too bad Moulds is gone because once again there is nobody to draw the heavy coverage away from him

to me, this looks like the browns of a couple of years ago during that magical season with kelly holcombe (current bills starter) . they now have 3 deep threats (andre davis, lee evans, and peerless price) . no possession receivers (like they ever had any since andre reed.) . this is going to be interesting , if dick jauron pushes the right buttons.

the only thing interesting about this years bills, will be their fight with the jets to stay out of the basement......

Pats Resign Richard Seymour

The Patriots offseason can now be considered somewhat of a success.they took care of business and made the big man happy.

Four-time Pro Bowl performer Richard Seymour, one of the league's most dominant and versatile front four defenders, on Wednesday reached agreement with the New England Patriots on a long-term contract extension, ESPN.com has learned.

Seymour

Neither the terms nor the financial details of the contract were immediately available. But the extension will certainly make Seymour one of the highest-paid defenders in the league, regardless of position, and might even permit him to play his entire career in a Patriots uniform.
