oh. my. gosh. what kind of idiot are you, seriously?????

i was talking about the fact that people will pay ANY PRICE (ie $60 for pvd etc) and it's people like this that allow the management to put the prices up each and every time and laughing all the way to the bank after robbing you dry. i'm NOT talking about this specific event.

to make it clearer and to restate what i said before: they will keep raising prices bc people keep on going and nothing stops people from paying more and more absurd amounts of money to see a dj play other people's music.

do u MAYBE get it now? actually, prally not...

considering your "religion" seems to be "trance" it follows that you'd throw any amount of money at your "gods"

omg why is this person still here?!

armins been iffy lately ppl are hesitating to pay $30 to see him...last year, that wasnt the caSE. we're picky with the shows and djs that we choose to see. it'd be stupid to throw money for every half-assed gig, well unless u do that

deduction for 06

and so would a ticket to "pauly, armmy and tijsee"

To all of you cry babies:

I am that kind of an idiot that makes 2.5K a week and I really do not give a shit if it is 30, 50 100, or 500. All I care about is that I get to listen to the music I like. I am the kind of an idiot that paid 3000 x 2 to go to holland to see TIC and Armin Only. I am pretty sure there are plenty of idiots like me. From my point of view that's a good thing cause people like you dont get to come to the party

But you must be a heck of an idiot your self too. Obviously you do not have a business mind and there is no way you could possibly understand how much it costs to set up events like these.
Quite a few people need to get paid; I will just name a few:
DJ, promoters, organizers, venue owners, agents, security staff, ticket resellers, traveling and vacancy expenses for all those people that come from overseas, people who clean up your mess after the party is over, etc etc.

And remember...all those people want to make PROFIT! That is why they are doing this! They are not a charity! That is what they do for living!

FYI: PVD was 60 at the door. If you where smart enough you could get your tickets in advance for half the price. And still 60 backs IT IS NOT A LOT OF MONEY. if you do not have 60 bucks to go out then STAY HOME AND STOP CRYING. It's not like those DJs are here every freaking weekend.

Invest your 2.5K a week in a reading comp class. Maybe then you'd realize no one complained about the $30 price for tickets. Lunasea complained that people said they'd be willing to pay $100 and that those people are what is ruining the industry. She's partially right. It's the people who view clubbing as some big huge deal and only go out every few months, therefore don't spend as much week-to-week that can afford a "special purchase". If you're out every weekend at least once, it adds up, no matter how much you make. I see Lunasea out quite often and know she's doing more than her fair share in paying to keep this scene thriving.

Good for you if you want to drop $6K to go to Armin Only or TIC. Most of us have other things in our lives, as well as probably do a hell of a lot more clubbing. We understand how the industry works, know where the money goes, etc. We also recognize that there are a lot of people out there who's sole motive isn't PROFIT, but also because they love the music that they're providing.

The other issue is that you're older than me, and I'm one of the older regulars on here. You need to realize that most of the people on here are in college or just got their first jobs. A lot of them simply can't afford it. Is your solution that they should all sit at home on Friday nights while you stand in a half-empty club because ticket prices are too high?

Now, you can stop being a troll who's taking soundbytes but not the whole thought to start an internet argument, or continue and get berated by everyone else who doesn't feel that they should have to fork over their savings for a party.

That is exaclty one of the major reasons the tickets are so 'high'
Too many people want to get in. Not enough room for everybody.
The lines go around the block. Cannot dance. I wish the club was half-empty. WISH!

People need to stop complainging about what other people do or willing to do. Just because you cant do something do not blame it to someone else.

And among the other things people have in their lifes maybe they should not go clubbing every weekend and get a job. I do not go clubbing every weekend not beacuse I do to want to but because I have other things to do as well.

$60 IS NOT A LOT. If you want to pay less do not go for the big-named djs!!!! You can buy a pair of jeans from gap for $30 and you can buy a pair of jeans at diesel for $200. It's your choice and your fault whatever decision you make. Just stop complaining.

No, the real problem is that these dj's think they are more then just that and want their name to be known world wide as to who they are and what they do. So paying $60 to dance is very fucking expensive if you ask me. Not to mention I have to pay $12 for a watered down vodka drink. This music is beginning to lose touch with its roots and becoming yet another money making scheme and it is working.

For the record, I was absolutely kidding when I said I'd shell out $100 to go to this event.
