Pujols strains a right oblique muscle, and will miss up to 6 weeks
That will seriously hurt his chances of the single season HR record

ive been hearing rumors that rafael palmiero is looking to buy a house next to wrigley field. he wants to get as far away from baseball as possible.

Looks like he dropped a lot of names of users and eventually those names might leak out. So we'll see. *cough cough* Roger Clemens

One sweet conspiracy theory was Roger sat out because he was quietly suspended 50 games for the juice but MLB just told him to say he wasn't sure if he was coming back. Just a conspiracy theory.

i heard that he was naming guys from 'california teams' that could hop the border to mexico and buy it legally. also i heard he said it was prevalent amongst latino players. pudge? who isnt so pudgy anymore. maybe ryan klesko. who knows, but im praying that sammy sosa's name shows up.

Posted by trunks1022 on Jun-08-2006 14:54:

brady anderson. he probably left a closet full of shit in the O's locker room for sosa and palmeiro

he apparently named members of the 2005 Orioles as amphetamine users in his interview with an IRS agent, The Baltimore Sun reported Thursday.

sammy sosa was an oriole in 2005. my wish could be coming true. obviously palmiero is a candidate.

33 runs in two games against the second best team in the NL. it's easy to whoop ass when you have ozzie talking smack about mariotti.

Posted by trunks1022 on Jun-22-2006 05:10:

ozzie needs to know when NOT to put his foot further into his mouth

Posted by Magnetonium on Jun-22-2006 13:08:

Hey! This year there will be a new NL East champion. Anyone excited about this? Obviously, the Mets are gonna get it.

its funny that none of the fans (white sox or cubs) that ive talked to think he was out of line. mariotti is a complete jackass. earlier in the season he tried attacking aj and some other players in his column. for some reason he seems to have it in for the white sox this year. no one can even remember the last time they saw him at a chicago sporting event, some people think it might be as far back as jordan suiting up for the bulls. the guy cares more about his guest spot on espn then actually going to the games and reporting.

one thing i like about ozzie is that he's going to tell it like it is and stand up for himself and his players. he's never going to change and as long as the white sox are winning people here wont really care. i think the white sox have about another two or three years left on this run and when it ends probably ozzie's career as manager will too but im going to enjoy it while it lasts. the same thing happened to dusty back in 2003 and now that the cubs' run (well more like a brisk walk) is over he's going to be gone.

Here's a formidable statistic:

The Braves loss to the Jays couple days ago, their 9th straight, something very rare to the team. With the loss, the Braves have endured their first nine-game losing streak since the 1988 team lost 10 straight to open the season. The ninth loss of that season came when Glavine was outdueled by Dodgers ace Orel Hershiser, who was facing an Atlanta lineup that included Dion James, Damaso Garcia and Ken Griffey Sr.

A Henry Owens update (dude from Mets minor league team):

21.2 IP, 6 Hits, 7 walks, 44 Strike Outs.

Posted by partyhopper on Jun-26-2006 03:15:

even though the Astros salvaged the last game in the series, the White Sox seem to have their number
ChiSox hit a grand slam in each of the 3 games this weekend, including a game-tying salami by Tad Iguchi off Brad Lidge with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th tonight.

my yougn padwan . baseball season has yet hit the half way mark . anything can happen. wright could run into a railing, and break a wrist ? or pedro pulls a hamstring ? philly could all of a sudden make a big break . they are really missing thome right now .

we've been playing great baseball lately so im not sure if we have their number or if we were just really hot. i will say this though, the NL and AL dont look to be on even ground this year. besides the mets and possibly the cardinals no team in the NL looks like they have what it takes to win the world series.
