Maxi, out 6 months.

Posted by zoric on Oct-12-2006 13:39:

This is a major shock indeed, Maxi is one of our most important players even though we've got replacements in Galetti. I guess Jurado and Galetti will be fighting for that spot now that Maxi is gone for 6 months, It really sucks!

Hope he gets better soon, This is like losing your best player, and he was our best player last year, so, I'm shocked..

Posted by fastmp3 on Oct-13-2006 00:53:

that sucks, he's such a great talent ... i hope he recovers

Posted by InterMilan31 on Oct-13-2006 01:10:

Why do Atleti have red in their shirts?

Its the stain left when Real & Barca murder them

Posted by fastmp3 on Oct-13-2006 01:13:

i still respect the rojiblanco

Heard Atltico want money from argentina since thats where he got injured. Interesting to see where this goes. Some belgian club did the exact same thing some time ago towards an international team and they got what they asked for.

Doesnt really feel right to me, its a risk that league club simply should accept and dont bitch about it.

that's Oulmers who plays for morocco

newcastle wants the same for owen

Posted by zoric on Oct-14-2006 08:49:

Maxi has been one of the most important reasons that Atltico has been playing so well in the beginning of this season, now we're without him and Martin Galletti will most likely start tonights game vs. Recreativo Huelva on Calderon.

I'm sure he can do well, but he really hasn't been good since he came to Atltico, Nothing close to his great Zaragoza-form two years ago where he was stunning.

Atltico Line up:

Goalkeeper: Leo Franco
Defenders: Mariano Perna (Antonio Lopez?), Pablo Ibaez, Luis Perea and Giourkas Seitaridis
Midfield: Martin Galletti, Peter Luccin, Maniche and Martin Petrov
Strikers: Mista (Sergio Agero?) and Fernando Torres

Petrov out injured.. if it's serious Atletico might be into some mid-term trouble, he's a key player right? I pretty much never watch Atletico games.

Yep. I'm absolutely gutted about this and I can't even describe how bad it feels now..

I know Agero can play over there, but we've only got 3 forwards and they're all starting, Agero on the flank though. So if someone gets injured again, It's going to be very hard and we'll struggle..

I'm praying to god that he isn't seriously injured

Otherwise a pretty good first half from both teams, Recreativo is trying to create open chances, while Atltico is trying to cross the ball into the Recreativo's defensive zone.

Maniche has had the best chance for us so far, together with Galletti's great breakthrough, He looks very good. Also, Aitor had a great chance for Recreativo..

Posted by zoric on Oct-14-2006 22:19:

Atltico played very good tonight and deserved to win this game, even though we won it in a totally wrong way.

Recreativo's penalty was a joke, Leo Franco saved it, but Javi Guererro took the rebound and scored 0:1 for Huelva. Then Galletti decided to dive and we got a penalty aswell, Fernando Torres scored and later on Jurado took revenge after that penalty he had conceded, with a great cross, He reached a Atltico player who headed the ball towards the goal, and El Kun scored 2:1 for us with his hand, a true Maradona thing.

It feels like we deserved to win this game, but we didn't win it fairly. Unfortunately.

Giourkas Seitaridis played very well, but he fucked up in the end and got sent off like in the first game vs. Racing Santander.

Martin Petrov looked seriously injured, but I hope he isn't and we'll hopefully know how bad he was injured tomorrow or on the Monday morning.

Barcelona has to draw against Sevilla and I Valencia either lose or draw vs. Celta Vigo.

Oh crap, I knew I shouldn't have switched channels. I still managed to see the 2 "penalties" and the unbelievably NOT given penalty kick for Recreativo though. Fantastic ref

They got a penalty kick to much, and so did we, Galletti and the other fag came shoulder against shoulder and the Recreativo-asshole fell to the ground.

Did you also see that the referee was close to fuck up and give Bautista a second yellow without sending him off? That's what I call stupid..

Posted by zoric on Oct-15-2006 10:36:

NIMO MAXI!

The fans gave him their support aswell, Maxi was watching the game on the stadium and I hope he appreciated all the support he was given

Petrov injured and replaced by El Kun

Mista played pretty well, but he always gets subbed, I feel sorry for him..

Galletti was the man of the match

Posted by zoric on Oct-15-2006 12:32:

Martin Petrov will be gone for six months, exactly like Maxi Rodriguez and this is a huge loss for Atltico.

He's got the exact same injury as Maxi Rodriguez..

nimo Maxi y Petrov

Juan Valera will most likely take his spot and play on the right flank together with Giourkas Seitaridis who got sent off yesterday. Jurado can also play on that flank, but we can also use Sergio Agero there even though he's an attacker, I know that he's played there in Independiente..

Deportivo La Corua will be a huge test next week, and a draw will be like a win, That's how it feels like now..

Posted by zoric on Oct-21-2006 20:55:

Bad first half, and Mista got injured..

Defence is really stable, but the midfield only played well for the first 20 minutes. Galletti played well and had a good shot that Aouate had problems with. Luccin had a great shot aswell, but no goals scored yet..

Torres is still having a hard time creating space, He's suffered 4-5 fouls and got a yellow card. Deportivo plays harsh, but that's the way it should be.

Now let's score a goal or two in the second

Posted by InterMilan31 on Oct-21-2006 21:31:

looks like another awful injury for Atleti

hope they can pull one back and get a point here in the last 20

and yes im awake

Posted by InterMilan31 on Oct-21-2006 21:53:

Just an awful performance from Atleti the last 15 min. Deportivo should've won 2-0 on a brillant play that was called offsides (was on)

Atleti played well most of the game except the end where they just looked horid one of the biggest changes Ive seen in some time.

Posted by zoric on Oct-21-2006 23:03:

We sucked tonight

Posted by K.I.K.E. on Oct-22-2006 10:26:

Depor has won the 4 matches played at Riazor this season.

The last team from Madrid (these have played there in the last years: Real Madrid, Atltico, Rayo Vallecano, Getafe - Geta not from the city of Madrid -) that won at Riazor was Atleti in 1996 (dunno if the "Doblete" season or the next).
