It's not hard smuggling a camera into an event. I did it at Seattle's Halloween massive last year, when only one-time-use photography was permitted. All I did was hold both it and my jacket in my hand (with the jacket covering it) as security patted me down.

But take a look at the rules for this year's Seattle massive...

quote:
No photography or recording of any kind will be permitted at Freaknight. Commercial photography under the control, screening and distribution of Fremont Studios Staff is all that is allowed. No additional cameras will be allowed and strictly enforced.

Oh don't worry if there is a will there is a way I will have my cam with me no matter what.. But still it is a Stupid rule!

1. Set times?

2. Hows parking?

3. Are you guys dressing up?

4. How many people and what type of crowd would you expect at this event? Thanks guys.

1. Answered

2. There is a lot of parking by the area it is $10. If you find Street parking close to the place you will be lucky.. but it won't be in the best stop to leave your car. It is kinda "shady" around the area. There will be parking across the street but you will have to pay there too.

3. I am going all out for Monster Massive. I always do but then again I love Dressing up. Try to dress up a little.

4. How many people a whole lot at least 10,000 or more. Keep in mind this is an all ages event. So you will see a mix of EVERY CROWED. E-puddles, light shows and little kid crackheads running around. I hang with my friends and kinda forget all the "bad" icky crowd that these events tend to bring.

5. Do not forget about the TA meet-up @8:30 by the esculators.

yes in a way they are... but in the email I wrote to [email protected]
I asked if small digital non-professional camera's would be allowed. I made is very specific.

Posted by Leferikson on Oct-25-2006 16:50:

I'm assuming that they wouldn't, just because it has video capability. I've only been able to find like 2 or 3 videos of any MM to this date, so maybe it is to keep the event alive, with no "drug evidence" or something.

They said the same thing at TIC. No digi cams allowed, but I took mine.
I don't think they'll care. But just to make sure, I'm taking my back up cam.

Possibly at a local record shop.... check the list of vendors on the MM website.

Posted by KarenLuvs2Party on Oct-25-2006 20:01:

Dr. Freeclouds in Fountain Valley has hard tickets.

They are off the 405 freeway. Go south on Brookhurst for about 1 mile and they will be on the left hand side at the corner of Brookhurst/Garfield behind Thai Dishes Restaurant.

Posted by KarenLuvs2Party on Oct-25-2006 20:08:

I would think they would allow DIGI cameras. They better post big ass signs because hella people will be treking back to their cars to put it away.
