he's not american! J/K

I don't like the album. I'll look toward the remixes for improvment.

Carl B's remix of In the Dark is pretty good.

Definately the best remix IMO and it gives the track a WHOLE different feel.

Just listened to 'In The Dark' and looking at the tracklist for this album - am pretty neutral to the release.

Posted by kparker on Apr-02-2007 00:26:

His trance remix of "in the dark" is old style Tiesto...most will call it cheese though. Bassline reminds me of Sureal - Take my breath away

bright morningstar is the first track that has stuck out to me so far...

Is Tijs still taking those laxatives?

hmm I have another opinion:

everything = tonedepth & soultan - moments vs. ahmet ertenu - why + vocals added (both tracks are on ISOS4, CD1 track 2+3)

i am starting to hate his voice more and more. doesn't fit the track :s

clip is nice though

IMHO - The album is more miss than hit, but what does hit is pretty nice.. I just wonder how much time he spent on it, what with his busy schedule..

You mean how much time they spent on it for him? Yeah who knows..

I personally think it sounds a bit like Ferry Corsten - Fire (Flashover remix).

Just hearing the clips I will say it's better then expected which still doesn't mean I like all of the tracks. I however do not really look at this album as a Tiesto album as it's all over the place and this tells me there is no way Tiesto was fully behind each track. There is no way Tiesto had anything to do with Bright Mornigstar, if he did, I will fully give credit where it's due and this track is very impreessive. By far my favorite track on the album and so into what I'm feeling these days.

his music sends shivers down my spine

I've just listened through the soundclips on Beatport.com and I think it's not bad, but it's nothing special either

Posted by miamitranceman on Apr-11-2007 15:08:

Well, I just had a listen through the entire album and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Maybe I had low expectations, but there are definitely some tracks on here that I would have no hesitation playing out. The BT influence really helped him here I think. Too me, most of the tracks sounded a lot more complex, in general, than on Just Be.

This is one of the best CDs I've purchased in a long time. It's pretty solid all the way through. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would be. I can listen to every song without getting bored with any of them. My absolute favorite track so far is "Everything." Jes' voice is hypnotic -- I could listen to her sing all day. I did a little research and found that Jes has her own album coming out in May on Tiesto's label, it's called Disconnected. Definitely going to have to check it out.

1. Ten Seconds Before Sunrise - Nice and lovely opening tune 4/5.
2. Everything - Maybe my favorite on the album. Great tune! 5/5
3. Do You Feel Me - Actually not a bad tune. But doesn't catch me properly. 3.5/5.
4. Carpe Noctum - I don't like this tune at all. Garbage if you ask me. Maybe it works fine on the dancefloor. 1.5/5
5. Driving To Heaven - This is THE ripoff tune of the album. Everything is hardly a ripoff compared to this. Based on this I give this 0/5. It's simply just an edit of the original tune.
6. Sweet Things - Co-produced by BT. Heard much critic about this tune. I love it! 5/5
7. Bright Morningstar - Co-produced by BT. Great melody here, beautiful tune. Still waiting for a hard mix/remixes. 4/5
8. Break My Fall - I actually like this tune too. 4/5
9. In The Dark - A lot of people seemed to call this the worst tune at first. Probably because it was announced as a "rock trance" tune before people hardly heard it. In my ears a tune that is hard to hate in general. 4.5/5
10. Dance4Life - No comment
11. Elements Of Life - Written by Geert which you can obviously hear on the classical melody. Reminds a lot of Adagio For Strings and Euphoria. I'm in doubt with this tune. I like the idea a lot, but it's too "cheesy" Tisto. The buildup and all is awesome and sounds promising, but when the climax kicks in... it sounds too obvious/standard. Beiking kind I'll give it a 3/5
12. He's A Pirate - No comment

My rough review.
Overall I'll give it a 4/5

Posted by Quethas on Apr-19-2007 12:05:

There is only one track I really like (Ten Seconds Before Sunrise) and couple fairly good. But mostly I don't find it interesting. He's A Pirate, Carpe Noctum and D4L are awful IMO.

Ten Seconds Before Sunrise-For an opening track it gets the job done. Nice & smooth

Everything-Mostly everyone digging this album actually loves this track, but I on the other hand believe this is by far one of the worse tracks on the album. The build up isn't bad, but once Jes comes on, not really feeling it.

Do You Feel Me-Actually my favorite track of the album. It's got that nice up beat sound.

Carpe Noctum-Good track, with great potential. Build ups are great. I'm actually waiting to see if anyone will remix this.

Driving to Heaven-Doesn't stand out too much.

Sweet Things-This is by far the worse track of the album. The vocals are just horrible!!! Despite the numerous times I've heard this album I don't think I've been able to sit through it and listen to it once completely.

Bright Morningstar-Great track. Reminds me of the old tijs sound during the Nyana era.

Break My Fall-Don't appreciate BT's vocals that much. Not that impressing.

In the Dark-Great track!

Dance for Life-Track is not that impressing, however, the Sander van Doorn rmx kicks ass.

Elements of Life-Good track, a little too slow, but if remixed, it's got potential. Reminds me of Adagio for Strings, and Olympic Flame.

He's a Pirate-Enough said ;X
