Tell that to all of the $$$ greedy f**ks in Hollywood, now about a decade too late when they've realized what a profitable area comic book adaptations and classic movie remakes really are in the movie business. In the "pop"movie industry, there is no such thing as "enough money" as they can always milk us, the viewers for some more for watching the crap they put out all the time.

lol
Remakes, Signing sequels before the current iteration isn't even released (Spiderman 4,5,6, as well as Saw IV), and now sequels that don't make any sense:

Sequel

A sequel to the book Forrest Gump was written, Gump and Co., but due to a dispute between the author and Paramount Pictures, the screenplay written in 2001 based on the book was not put into production. The dispute has been worked out and Paramount producers are taking another look at the Forrest Gump II screenplay.[7]

saw it last nite... really was not that impressed with it, seemed more like a gateway movie for the next one. the story was decent and the twists i could see coming. good special effects and im sorry but spiderman trying to be a bad ass with his emo haircut is just gay!

i thought the hipster look was funny. i'm sure that silliness was intentional. at least those parts were better than the cheesy love scenes. omg horrible lines/acting at the bridge!

the movie wasn't terrible, wasn't great; i still had fun. it's a good comic book movie.

i hope its even shittier than the first two shitty pieces of shit, just to punish cretins around the globe for supporting poor cinema.

they showed the Pirates 3 trailer before screening Spiderman 3, can't wait!

as for Spidey 3... i enjoyed it but I can see why there's a lot of criticism ie. cheese factor is at ludicrous speed, plus ending is meh, and I just thought it was way too similar to the original story-wise for my liking.

Great CGI on Venom and Sandman though. Kirsten Dunst still can't act in these movies, but Thomas Haden Church (Ned from Ned and Stacey) rocks!

Yeah!! The one about Vietnam, I think, right? I thought it was lame until the last half of the trailer was like an acid trip. Looks fun

:/. The whole movie is in the trailer.
Also, I don't think i'm going to be swayed by the fact that the trailer itself declares "this is the most important story you will ever witness."

Watched it last night and I thought it was pretty good. Yes, as pointed out before, several cheesy poorly acted scenes and some annoying cop-outs, the biggest one imo about Marko just wandering into some testing site and getting zapped. And why Topher Grace was ever cast as Venom is still beyond me, although the cg effects looked great.

But I liked the movie for the message it conveyed. That regardless of circumstance, situation, or just plain bad luck, everyone still has a choice. That if you decide to get into drugs or crime, based on whatever justification you have for it, it was still your choice to do so. People must be held accountable for their actions. It's why Parker drifted into the dark side. The solutions it offered seemed to work well in the short-term, but upon making those choices, came consequences. And I liked how that same message not only applied to Parker, but as to Harry Osbourne, and Eddie Brock, and how the outcome was played differently on all 3.

Film pwnd us all, matter of fact.
That is all for now.

Posted by Intellekshual on May-08-2007 10:03:

Tobey Maguire is, still and now more so, the worst thing to ever happen to the idea of Spider-man.
If you're a fan of any of the following characters, get intoxicated before viewing: Eddie Brock, The Sandman, Venom, Any Green Goblin.

This movie only gets away with what it does because everyone in the audience already knows all the characters, their powers, and their weaknesses, and literally just wants to see them on the big screen.

Don't walk in with high expectations.

that james franco guy should be spiderman. He actually auditioned the role but got rejected.Unbelievable. He could pass as geeky and sensitive, I'm sure.

I just find tobey too wimpy with his squeeky voice and looks.

I was disappointed with the movie, it was like watching pimp my ride..marvel style.Seriously the scenes with Parker in his emo hair was unbearable to watch.

Agreed. As an actor, Tobey's the worst thing that's happened to Spidey. Though I was disappointed in the length of time that Peter was "evil", possibly the most enjoyable part of the film.

Posted by Thierry on May-08-2007 12:25:

I know Peter Parker is supposed to be geeky and emo and whiney... but Tobey Maguire just takes that to a whole new level. He's annoying and not in the "great acting" annoying, just plain fuckin annoying. I think I would have liked these movies more if anybody was cast as Parker besides him.

Posted by whiskers on May-08-2007 15:26:

mildly entertaining, good effects, crappy acting, mostly a waste of time.. come on, the movie was a parody of itself! that's on par with the usual parodies like "Not another teen movie" or "scary movie 17319" just with more CGI and more superhero.

not what Spiderman should be about.
