i wish pronger should pull himself together, i think as a veteran he's been a pretty shitty example of how to act PLUS this suspension ruins my master plan of the ducks winning in 5

dude, pronger alone didn't ruin your 'master plan' - ottawa just found a way to pull things together at home (as i predicted they would). this is too evenly matched of a series for it to end in 5. i'm feeling pretty good about my 'in 7' prediction.

(and i still think home team will take all the games this series )

Kinda...

Sens lucked out a lot in first 2 periods staying in the game and Ducks only fell apart in the 3rd period.

If the Sens didn't get some of their lucky goals in the game, I think Ducks would have asserted control in the 3rd and shut down the game.

I think the one game suspension is fair, given the circumstances.

However, just a couple of thoughts...if that wasn't a kicking motion with your skate, then I'd like to know what is. And, nothing of Neil's 6 full , solid strides and shot to the head?

I'm just sayin'

when the puck hit his skate, there was no kicking motion. you can clearly see in the replays that he turned his foot to redirect the puck. he just redirected it. the "follow through" if u wanan call it that, was after it hit. there was no way he couldve kicked it in when the puck was going at that speed.

neil was fortunate enough that he didnt hit him fully and McDonald eluded his hit. there would have been no doubt in my mind that there woudlve been a penatly right away and maybe even an ejection from the game if McDonald had been injured.

alfie what a big goal!!! jiggy was pissed!!! haha

that quick release is a killer.

Posted by smuncky on Jun-05-2007 01:09:

well the ducks got out played in the first for sure. although their PK is still awesome. they cant take those damn penalties if they want to win though.

Posted by TCB on Jun-05-2007 01:18:

well they better be giving thanks for jiggy in the intermission because 13 shots to 2 he save their asses!! could of been all over.

Posted by chimera66 on Jun-05-2007 01:52:

anaheim seeming to get better and better as this game progresses , i'm enjoying watching giggy work

Posted by TCB on Jun-05-2007 02:06:

some very sly moves by andy mcdonald.

but great to see dany heatley score and his reaction showed how badly he wanted it and the relief!!

the hit count pretty good too 24-22 in favour of anaheim but the physical play continues.

really??? im not near the tv in the intermissions as they cut most of it out here for other crap. what did he have to say?

i admit the alfie play was a bit cheap.

Posted by Mortyman on Jun-05-2007 02:32:

WTF was Emery doing on that 3rd goal??? Look how far out of position he is!

talked a bit on alfredsson, mostly about the instigator rule and how it's dumb. he said it was instigated to appeal to american audiences but he sees this as a contradiction especially since in this country nascar and its crashes, football with all its physical play and ultimate fighting which is people straight up beatig the crap out of each other are all extremely popular. he thinks we all want to see a good old fight

1 more win at home!!

i gotta agree though, that stunt by alfie was just stupid.

So Alfredsson has always been questioned about his role as a 'leader', if he has what it takes to wear the 'C' on his jersey, yada yada. He plays near flawlessly all playoffs, near the top in scoring - and those who questioned his ability as a leader were silenced.... until last night.

What a fucking bone head that guy ls. He had all of his critics proven wrong, then with two seconds left before intermission, he lines up Neidermeyer with a fucking slapshot. BONE-HEAD.

Now, instead of people feeling bad for Ottawa - we can all point and laugh with a feeling that they got what they deserved... all for a split second brain fart by their teams captain.

Alfy, you're a douchebag - and thanks for reminding us all lastnight why we thought that in the first place.
