the correct answer is either 0 or 7. the ackward phrasing of the question doesn't explicitly state that the family does have children, it only establishes a set of conditions under which the family would have children.

i can only positively fault that answer because it uses numbers in it, while i asked for an answer in words.


a series with a very similiar priniciple to that one is probably the most famous series known to the general public.

it was just a guess...i figured 1^(1-1)=1, 2^(2-1)=2...i don't have a good calculator handy or i woulda tried a little harder hehe

Been a while but I believe if two sides of a triangle have the same distance the third side must share. Also I'm to lazy right now to be arsed with proving this on paper.
