Yup, via any Wi-Fi network. I don't have notifications turned on, but it checks your email each time you turn it on (and it's able to connect to a network), and if you have a new email a number appears next to the mail app to tell you how many new messages there are.

Almost all of the "themes" released so far are utter fucking shit, I was, however, able to find a combination of a few I liked that I didn't think looked too tacky, lemme know what you think:

Finally figured out how re-order everything, and there are literally dozens of new apps released each week for this thing - totally recommend it to anyone.

Also, the jailbreak process has become very, very easy (the initial one took me about 2 hours to do - when I updated the firmware it took me literally 30 seconds to do it again).

Rob, tell me that "Apollo" is that oldschool game where you try to land the apollo module on the moon!

bah, i guess aim/msn isn't so bad.

iPhysics, however, is a pretty fun little game - and so is lights out. It's a good OS for puzzle games.

I also have a program that plays all the old Lucas Arts adventure games (Sam & Max, Full Throttle, Maniac Mansion, etc.) flawlessly, and the input is surprisingly solid for it.

Tracking down those games, however, has been a bit difficult.

Is the Ipod Touch going to come up with a new 3G version too? Sorry if I am saying it so wrong. I am not Apple Geek.

I rly want one but I think AT&T has crappy plans and I can't see any unlock codes for the new one yet.

Plus it's more expensive than the phone atm so was wondering if any geeks forsee a price drop in the 'touch'

touch has NOTHING to do with the 3G iphone. the touch connects to the internet via wifi ONLY.

the phone can connect to the internet via AT&T's network. the new phone uses a better (faster) version of AT&T's network.

AT&T fuking sucks. I just couldn't dare leave my plan with tmobile as it hasn't changed since I was 17 ! I just rly want it cuz it's smaller than the psp to take on zee train. But it's so big that i forget to bring the psp with me!

Mel: Unlock codes will not be available for at least another 4 years, if ever, but they (the community, as they did for the first one) are working on an unlock solution that will be available soon. Oh and find a friend in California that hates AT&T. You can now get out of ETFs (Early Termination Fees) as they have been deemed illegal here! w00t!!!!!!! Get an iPhone for $199 and then cancel without the worry of their recourse!

Speaking of ipod touches: I work at a retail store and found out today that Apple was asking for a bunch of their 16 and 32gb versions of the touches back. Wonder what's going on, maybe there was a defect or a re-release or something.
