I'd say the large bombers are definitely still useful. What was the last decade where NATO didn't have total control of the air? With the bombers able to fly with total safety they just become a much cheaper means of bring mass amounts of ordinance to the area.

Yep, one of my good friends is down there training to fly them. Since it's a training base they are constantly flying.

i just think its pretty silly of them to bitch about a stupid uav, especially since it has not been proven yet, that the uav did not violate the Russian airspace. because honestly i dont think the russian military would send over a mig to engage a uav just for the fun of it.
