The tracks were NEVER released as Deadrat6, it was released as D-6.

ooh how I wish I still had their file! It was ha-larious. He whipped up the main melody in like 15 minutes, sped it up and posted it here. It was so much better than the original.

edit - LMFAO HAak still has it up

that version of taurus was made by mk-s, and that was epic, almost as epic as the taurusdnbremixomfg version

Statement regarding performance in Oslo (4th of April, 2008)

So, i guess that there is loads of speculations of what happened around the gig which was supposed to be an performance alongside Deadmau5. This statement is based on facts. No personal views are stated.

First of all, i dont know Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 personally so it would be pure nonsense of me to post something about him, so, lets stick to the facts.

The Deadrat6 project I made in the beginning of December of 2007 was meant to be an irony joke on all the producers who was using the same sounds etc as Deadmau5, it was NOT meant to be as an attack on him or disrespect of his production since he is a versatile producer of many genres. The tracks were NEVER released as Deadrat6, it was released as D-6.

Let me re-quote my statement made on trance.nu:

"Post Posted: 17 December 2007 - 22:59:38 (999)

Oh common people, have a little sense of humor. I have nothing against deadmau5 and i actually play a lot of his stuff in my sets.

Its a small joke and suddenly it becomes a war ? Lets chill down a bit and see it as a small prank. I respect deadmau5 for what he have achieved the last year and i am a big fan of his sound !

Cheers

Marcus Schssow"

A week after i had a post on myspace from deadmau5 regarding the prank, this is an direct quote:

So, enough of the Deadrat6 stuff.

I was asked by the Under The Sun entertainment (Norwegian promoters) to play along side Deadmau5 the 4th of April. I kindly accepted the offer and was really looking forward to see the performance of Deadmau5 since iv played loads of his stuff in my radio show "Tone Diary" and in my sets.

The management claims that Deadmau5 was not aware that he was supposed to perform with me until 3 days before the event. Here is an quote from my AIM from an conversation with joel, notice the date:

"AIM IM with XXXXXXXX 3/10/08 9:32 AM
whats the deal with this Oslo shit?
are you opening up for me or something?"

(Duo private reasons we cant post his Screen name)

The management also had accepted the artwork of the flyer...

So, everything looked to be okay and the weeks went by. But on the 28th of March i received this statement in an email from the promoter:

"Apparently Deadmau5 is refusing to play if Marcus is there, and that was an ultimate I got.
Joel told his manager on Wednesday that he refuses to play with Marcus and is cancelling the gig. if Marcus is at the club or is playing at the club."

My management tried to contact Joels management and agency to solve the issue but with no respond.

So i went to Oslo because i had a connecting flight the next day to my performance in Poland the day after. I hoped until the last hour that we would be able to solve the situation but without any success. The promoter also tried to find another club for my performance at the same date.

I deeply apologize to all those club musical lovers who was affected and i hope to return to Oslo later this year for another performance.

Best Regards

Marcus Schossow (7th of April, 2008

Someone really needs to beat some sense into Marcus Schossow. I want to be clear that I'm not saying that either of these two Sally Pants are acting like adults, but there's just something about that fat, arrogant, "DJ'ing and producing is a hard life" idiot that doesn't sparkle well with me at all.

A fake beef to sell more records and bring press to them both.

Like I said in the other thread about Deadmau5's recognition at the moment. Its mostly due to drama like this latest event, and the happenings before this latest fiasco. Either he has a really talented marketing/management team or some people here really have nothing better to do than to waste time talking about some of these topics that reach countless pages. Im thinking its a mix of both.

You can liken Deamau5's management to that of the Sex Pistols..You take an unattractive young kid out of the gutter with a limited amount of talent and turn him into a super star..

This is Punk Rock people, and it's prolly just the thing to give this scene a kick up the arse.

The guy is a 'Fuck Up'

Fucking Genius..

I don't think this scene will ever need a kick up the arse. Millions of people around the globe listen to EDM. Turning a punk who hasn't seen the sunlight in 18 years into a "superstar" isn't going to do anything but give negative attention to the music.
